Entrance Preview
I have got scored in GATE 2010 and my percentile was 84%. With marks 24. I chose this college, as I was interested in the course "opto electronics and communication systems " which was not provided by any other college. One another attraction was that, this college is under the CUSAT university.
Internships Opportunities
Since I was a GATE scholar, I used to get a monthly stipend of 8000 INR. And this amount was issued for one complete year, not every month. There was a fee as this college is under IHRD 3500 INR was the fee.
Placement Experience
Here, placement activities are very much good. In B.tech and M.Tech courses, the placement is 200 %. Top companies came to this college, knowing the students potential.
College Events
Every year the college conducts, tech fests,symposiums, technical seminars etc. National and international conferences are done by every department. Cultural events like arts festival is also conduced every year. A very good team of sports persons are developing here.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Even though it is a Govt college, there is a fee approved by IHRD. It is 35000 for GATE scholars,with stipend and 45000 for Non GATE Rs 10000 as caution deposit which will be retured in the final year when you passed out.
Fees and Financial Aid
The GATE scholarship was one provided for mtech students. There was fee excemption for Sc/St students. For B.tech ciure, there was some scholarships depending on merit.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumini work is active here. They meet at some years interval, and select the chairspersons and volunteers. We are doing some charity work also, helping the orpan children.
Exam Structure
Exam syllabus was on CUSAT syllabus. The syllabus was very standard one. There was 5 modules for each subject. Bith internal and external exams are there. There is a minimum mark for this both.
