International Student Admissions

The university accepts international applications for both graduate and undergraduate programmes. The process of application in both these courses are the same as the domestic application procedure. However, some additional requirements and deadlines must be met by the international students during the process.

How to apply?

Application portal : the application form is issued online on the official website of the university. It can be accessed from the international students’ section as there are separate forms available for both international undergraduate and graduate students.

Exemption from the English proficiency can be availed if :

  • You have obtained a “C” or higher in general education English composition course at any community college/university;
  • You have obtained a minimum of “B” grade in a three year English course at any 4-year US high school.

Visa Process for International Students

International students need to possess a legitimate and valid visa for the US in order to continue with the process. An F-1 visa must be obtained at the consulate of the US. After receiving the admission letter, students are required to present the I-20 form during the interview for a visa to study in the USA.

The following criteria must be met in order to rightfully receive the I-20 form:

  • All minimum academic qualifications must be fulfilled and verified by the university;
  • A secure finance model must be presented by the student to ensure that her/his costs can be covered during the period of the course;
  • You have met all English proficiency requirements ;

Admission decisions are usually released within 5 - 6 weeks post application submission. Applications begin from August for Spring enrollment and in September for Fall enrollment. International students must accept their admission offer by May 1, along with the SEVIS fee payment for visa application.
