TNEA 2026 registration closed on 02 June 2026. The steps below are a reference for the registration process and for students who plan to apply in subsequent years:

2. Create a new account with your name, date of birth, mobile number and email ID.
3. Fill in your personal details and click Save and Continue.
4. Enter your Class 12 academic details — board name, school name and marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics — then click Save and Continue.
5. Upload all required certificates and documents in PDF or image format (JPG, JPEG or PNG), with each file between 150 KB and 1 MB.
6. Pay the registration fee online via credit card, debit card, net banking or UPI. Alternatively, submit a Demand Draft payable to The Secretary, TNEA at Chennai.
7. Submit the application and download the confirmation receipt for future reference.

TNEA 2026 Counselling Rounds: Choice Filling and Seat Allotment

TNEA 2026 counselling is conducted across 4 rounds. Each round includes a choice filling window of 2 to 3 days followed by seat allotment and a 2-day confirmation window. You can fill an unlimited number of college and branch choices in order of preference.

Students who select Accept and Join must report to the allotted college within 5 days and pay all admission fees. Students admitted under the 7.5% government school student reservation have their counselling, tuition and hostel fees paid by the Tamil Nadu government as per GO 221 dated 15.11.2021.
