GCET 2026 Round 1 Seat Allotment: How to Accept Seat and Report to College

GCET 2026 Round 1 seat allotment has been released on July 11, 2026 by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Goa at dte.goa.gov.in.

Students who completed choice-filling and document verification can now log in to check their allotted college and branch. After checking the result, you must accept the seat online and report to the allotted college within the deadline to finalise your admission for the 2026-27 academic year.

Follow these steps to view your allotted college and branch on the official DTE Goa portal:

1. Visit the official website at dte.goa.gov.in.
2. Click on the Degree Admissions or Seat Allotment link on the homepage.
3. Enter your application number and date of birth in the login fields.
4. Click Submit or Login.
5. Your allotment letter will load showing your allotted college, branch and category.
6. Download the allotment letter and take a printout for use during college reporting.

How to Accept Your GCET 2026 Round 1 Allotted Seat

Accepting your seat online within the prescribed deadline is mandatory to retain your Round 1 allotment. Failing to accept means DTE Goa will treat the seat as withdrawn and it will be offered to the next student in merit.

1. Log in to your account on dte.goa.gov.in using your application number and password.
2. Open the Round 1 Allotment Letter from your dashboard.
3. Choose one of the three seat options:
   • Freeze — Accept the allotted seat permanently. You will not be considered for upgrades in Round 2.
   • Float — Accept this seat but remain eligible for a better college or branch in Round 2 if available.
   • Slide — Accept this college but seek a better branch within the same college in Round 2.
4. Pay the seat acceptance fee online via net banking, debit card or UPI.
5. Save and print your payment confirmation receipt.

How to Report to the Allotted College After GCET 2026 Round 1

Physical reporting at the allotted college is the final step that confirms your admission. Online seat acceptance alone is not sufficient — you must complete in-person verification at the college within the reporting window announced by DTE Goa.

1. Print your Round 1 allotment letter and seat acceptance fee payment receipt.
2. Collect all original documents listed above along with one set of self-attested photocopies.
3. Visit the admissions office of your allotted college on or before the reporting deadline.
4. Submit your documents for verification by the college admissions team.
5. Pay any remaining college fees — tuition fee, college development fee — as specified by the institution.
6. Collect the provisional admission receipt from the college after document verification is complete.

Important: Students who accept their seat online but do not report to the college before the deadline will forfeit their Round 1 allotment. The seat will be released for the next counselling round without a fee refund in most cases.
