GCET 2019 Result

GCET 2019 Result & Answer Key will be released from the second week of May 2019 in online mode only. To access the result, candidates have to Click on the link “GCET 2019 Result Declared”. Only those candidates who secure the required scores in GCET 2019 result will be listed in the merit list, which will be published in the month of June 2019. Allotment of seats will be done as per the merit of the candidates in the result of GCET 2019.

  • The compiled list of GCET 2019 result of all the candidates will also be made available. Instead of the names, the roll number of each candidate will be available here along with their secured Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics exam.
  • A provisional merit list will be released keeping the scored secured in GATE Result 2019 intact.
  • DTE Goa will conduct the counselling session of GCET 2019 from June 2019.

How to Check GCET 2019 Result? 

The result of GCET 2019 will be announced on May 2019. All candidates who will attempt the entrance examination on May 8 – 9, 2019 (tentative) will be able to access their GCET Result 2019 in online mode. The given steps can be followed by the candidates to check the GCET 2019 result:

  1. Visit the official website of GCET i.e. dte.goa.gov.in
  2. Click on the link ‘GCET 2019 Results Declared’.

  1. The result will display in pdf format.
  2. In result, candidates roll number and marks scored in each subject will be mentioned.
  3. Candidates can take the printout of the pdf.
  4. Secure the result which is in pdf format till the admission process.

GCET 2019 Score Card will reflect candidate’s performance in GCET 2019 Exam. The scorecard will include the following details. Candidate needs to check all the details on the result carefully.

GCET 2019 Merit List 

Candidates will be able to access the provisional GCET 2019 merit list on June 13, 2019. The provisional merit list of GCET 2019 will consist of the ranks secured by the candidates along with their 12th standard and GCET 2019 scores. The final merit list of GCET 2019 will be published on June 15, 2019. The shortlisted candidates for GCET Counselling will be selected based on the GCET merit list 2019.

  • The merit list of GCET 2019 will be published at the admission centre as well as online for all candidates.
  • The name of the candidates, their 12th standard and GCET 2019 scores along with the ranks will be available in GCET merit list 2019.
  • The candidates will be able to check their ranks as per their category in online mode.
  • After checking their ranks, the candidates are advised to verify their allotted marks and details in the provisional merit list of GCET 2019.
  • If any mistakes are found in the released merit list, then the candidates will have to report to the committee within 24 hours. Objections raised after 24 hours will not be accepted.

Tie-Breaking Method of GCET Merit List 2019

Situations where two or more candidates securing the same aggregate marks may arise during the preparation of GCET 2019 merit list. To break the tie in these situations, the authorities will use the following methods as per the listed order:

  • Candidate with more marks in Mathematics will be ranked higher.
  • If there is a tie in Mathematics score, then the candidate who has scored more in Chemistry will be ranked higher.
  • If the tie is still not broken, then the candidate with higher aggregate marks of Physics and Mathematics in 12th standard will be ranked higher. If the tie still persists, then those candidates who have scored higher in Mathematics (12th standard) will be placed higher in the rank list.
  • Finally, if the tie is still not broken, then the candidate who is older in age will be given preference.

GCET 2019 Cut Off

Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Goa will determine the minimum scores obtained by the candidates to be considered for admission to various undergraduate engineering courses at the universities and colleges in Goa.

  • DTE, Goa conducts GCET 2019 and is the competent authority that decides GCET 2019 cutoff marks.
  • GCET 2019 cutoff determinants include various factors like candidates’ performance, seat capacity of the respective courses and the college, total number of test takers, difficulty level of the paper and reservation policy.
  • Applicants failing to meet GCET cut off 2019 will not be considered eligible for admissions to B. Tech/BE programs at the universities and colleges in Goa.
  • On the basis of GCET 2019 cutoff, Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Goa prepares GCET 2019 merit list for the examinees.
  • Seats are allocated to candidates as per their ranks in GCET 2019 merit list.

GCET Counselling Procedure 2019

  • The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Goa, will conduct GCET 2019 counselling from June 2019.
  • To participate in GCET counselling 2019, eligible candidates have to fill form A, which will be available from May 17 to 25; note that candidates seeking admission to NATA based B. Arch course have to fill form C instead.
  • Completed forms have to be submitted in person at the Directorate of Technical Education, Porvorim.
  • After submission, the candidate will be issued an acknowledgement card which has to be produced at the time of counselling.
  • There will be three rounds of Goa CET counselling 2019, but an additional round may be held in case there are vacant seats left.
  • Only those candidates who are listed on the merit list of GCET will be allowed to participate in GCET 2019 counselling.

GCET Admission 2019

Candidates have to fill the application form as per the course in which they want to get admission.

GCET Form A:

The form can be filled by the candidates those will appear in GCET entrance exam 2019.

GCET Form B:

The form will be filled to get admission in GCET based course.

  • Form B1: The form will be filled to get admission in B.Arch courses through NATA national level entrance exam.
  • Form B2: The form will be filled for NEET 2019 based courses. Admission to BHMS and BAMS will also be provided through NEET score card.

FAQs

Ques. On what basis is the merit list prepared?

Ans: 

  • The merit list is based on aggregate marks of GCET in the subjects of Physics and Mathematics.
  • In case the above marks of two or more applicants are equal, applicant with more marks in GCET Mathematics is placed higher in the merit list.
  • In case the marks in Mathematics are also equal, applicant with more marks in GCET Chemistry is placed higher in the merit list.
  • In case the marks in GCET in Chemistry are also equal, applicant with more aggregate marks in Physics and Mathematics at the qualifying examination (Std.XII th) is placed higher in the merit list. In case of tie at this stage, applicant scoring more marks in Mathematics at the qualifying examination (Std.XIIth) is placed higher in the merit list. If all the above are also equal, then the applicant with older date of birth is placed higher in the order of merit.

Ques. For how long is the GCET score valid?

Ans: The GCET score is valid for just one year.

Ques. What do you mean by counselling fee?

Ans: The counselling fee is the payment made by a candidate to show their seriousness/commitment in taking admission in the desired course. Counselling fee is not a separate fee; it is the adjustable advance paid that subsequently gets adjusted at the time of admission from the fee payable to the respective University by a candidate.

Ques. How is seat allocation done?

Ans: The first indicative seat allocation list may comprise of some additional seats over and above the total available seats among the GCET Participating Institutions.

Ques. What does the counselling process comprise of?

Ans: The counselling for GCET will be conducted in the beginning from June 18, 2019 until July 2019 by DTE. To participate in the counselling, candidates need to first fill and submit the form. Counselling for GCET will be conducted purely on the basis of the merit list prepared by the DTE.
