    GCET 2020 Result will be declared by Directorate of Technical Education, Goa on May 13, 2020. Along with the results, candidates who qualify the exam will be ranked and a merit list will be released on the official website i.e dte.goa.gov.inGCET 2020 will be conducted on May 5 (Physics & Chemistry) and May 6 ( Mathematics). A common counselling and document verification process will be organised by DTE for GCET Participating Colleges 

    • Results are declared in the form of Pdf containing candidates’ Roll Numner and subject wise marks. 
    • No Scorecard will be available to the candidates individually. The final merit list will be prepared for the candidates who will be eligible to appear in GCET Counselling

    How to Check GCET 2020 Result? 

    The given steps can be followed by the candidates to check the GCET 2020 result:

    1. Visit the official website of GCET i.e. dte.goa.gov.in
    2. Click on the link ‘GCET 2020 Results Declared’.
    3. The result will display in pdf format.
    4. In result, candidates roll number and marks scored in each subject will be mentioned.
    5. Candidates can take the printout of the pdf.
    6. Secure the result which is in pdf format till the admission process.

    Guidelines for Merit List 

    GCET 2020 Merit List 

    Provisional GCET 2020 Merit List will release on June 10, 2020. The provisional merit list of GCET 2020 consists of the ranks secured by the candidates along with their 12th standard and GCET 2020 scores. The shortlisted candidates for GCET Counselling will be selected based on the GCET merit list 2020.

    • The merit list of GCET 2020 will be published at the admission center as well as online for all candidates.
    • The name of the candidates, their 12th standard and GCET 2020 scores along with the ranks will be available in GCET merit list 2020.
    • The candidates will be able to check their ranks as per their category in online mode.
    • After checking their ranks, the candidates are advised to verify their allotted marks and details in the provisional merit list of GCET 2020.
    • If any mistakes are found in the released merit list, then the candidates will have to report to the committee within 24 hours. Objections raised after 24 hours will not be accepted.

    GCET Merit List for Medical Course

    Merit list for admissions to MBBS, BDS, BHMS (Homoepathy), BAMS (Ayurveda), AHS, B.V.Sc & A.H and Nursing will be prepared by authorities incharge on the basis of NEET 2020 scores by the candidate. All India Rank/ Percentile/ SCore Card of NEET UG as issued by NTA will be considered. 

    GCET Merit List for Bachelor of Engineering

    Provisional Merit List will release on June 10, 2020. Merit List will be prepared on the basis of aggregate marks obtained by the candidate in Physics and Mathematics. In case there is a case of tie break between candidates, the one wuth more marks in Mathematics will be given preference. Post which Chemistry marks will be taken into consideration. 

    In case marks in chemistry also stand equal, applicants with more marks in Physics and Mathematics at intermediate level/ Qualifying Examination will be taken into consideration. If all the above mentioned scenarios are equal applicants higheer in age will be given preference. 

    GCET Merit List for Pharmacy

    Merit List for candidates apeared for the course of Pharmacy will be prepared on the basis of Physics and Chemistry. In casd of tie break candidates scoring more marks in Chemistry will be given weightage. 

    In case tie still persist, candidate with higher aggregate marks in Physics and Chemistry at intermediate level will be give preference in selection.  Candidates with high marks in Chemistry will be placed higher in Merit List. As a last resort tie will be broken on the basis of age, applicants with earlier date of birth will be placed higher in order.

    GCET Merit List for Architecture

    Provisional Merit List will release on June 30, 2020. Aggregate marks scored in NATA 2020 and Qualifying examination will be considered to prepare the Merit List for Bachelor in Architecture. Both the marks will be considered in the ratio of 1:1 with 50% marks each. In case there is a tie candidates with more NATA scores will be preferred, after which candidates with high marks in Mathematics will be placed higher on Merit.

    Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Goa will determine the minimum scores obtained by the candidates to be considered for admission to various undergraduate engineering courses at the universities and colleges in Goa.

    • DTE, Goa conducts GCET 2020 and is the competent authority that decides GCET 2020 cutoff marks.
    • GCET 2020 cutoff determinants include various factors like candidates’ performance, seat capacity of the respective courses and the college, total number of test takers, difficulty level of the paper and reservation policy.
    • Applicants failing to meet GCET cut off 2020 will not be considered eligible for admissions to B. Tech/BE programs at the universities and colleges in Goa.
    • On the basis of GCET 2020 cutoff, Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Goa prepares GCET 2020 merit list for the examinees.
    • Seats are allocated to candidates as per their ranks in GCET 2020 merit list.

    GCET Counselling Procedure

    • The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Goa, will conduct GCET 2020 counselling from June 2020.
    • To participate in GCET counselling 2020, eligible candidates have to fill form A, which will be available from May 17 to 25; note that candidates seeking admission to NATA based B. Arch course have to fill form C instead.
    • Completed forms have to be submitted in person at the Directorate of Technical Education, Porvorim.
    • After submission, the candidate will be issued an acknowledgment card which has to be produced at the time of counselling.
    • There will be three rounds of Goa CET counselling 2020, but an additional round may be held in case there are vacant seats left.
    • Only those candidates who are listed on the merit list of GCET will be allowed to participate in GCET 2020 counselling.

    GCET Admission 2020

    Candidates have to fill the application form as per the course in which they want to get admission.

    GCET Form A:

    The form can be filled by the candidates those will appear in GCET entrance exam 2020.

    GCET Form B:

    The form will be filled to get admission in GCET based course.

    • Form B1: The form will be filled to get admission in B.Arch courses through NATA national level entrance exam.
    • Form B2: The form will be filled for NEET 2020 based courses. Admission to BHMS and BAMS will also be provided through NEET score card.

    Ques. On what basis is the merit list prepared?

    Ans: 

    • The merit list is based on aggregate marks of GCET in the subjects of Physics and Mathematics.
    • In case the above marks of two or more applicants are equal, applicant with more marks in GCET Mathematics is placed higher in the merit list.
    • In case the marks in Mathematics are also equal, applicant with more marks in GCET Chemistry is placed higher in the merit list.
    • In case the marks in GCET in Chemistry are also equal, applicant with more aggregate marks in Physics and Mathematics at the qualifying examination (Std.XII th) is placed higher in the merit list. In case of tie at this stage, applicant scoring more marks in Mathematics at the qualifying examination (Std.XIIth) is placed higher in the merit list. If all the above are also equal, then the applicant with an older date of birth is placed higher in the order of merit.

    Ques. For how long is the GCET score valid?

    Ans: The GCET score is valid for just one year. 2020 session will be valid for admission in 2020-21 academic year in colleges accepting score. 

    Ques. What do you mean by counselling fee?

    Ans: The counselling fee is the payment made by a candidate to show their seriousness/commitment to taking admission in the desired course. Counselling fee is not a separate fee; it is the adjustable advance paid that subsequently gets adjusted at the time of admission from the fee payable to the respective University by a candidate.

    Ques. How is seat allocation done?

    Ans: The first indicative seat allocation list may comprise of some additional seats over and above the total available seats among the GCET Participating Institutions.

    Ques. What does the counselling process comprise of?

    Ans: The counselling for GCET will be conducted in the beginning from June 18, 2020 until July 2020 by DTE. To participate in the counselling, candidates need to first fill and submit the form. Counselling for GCET will be conducted purely on the basis of the merit list prepared by the DTE.

    Ques. Is GCET Counselling Form available online?

    Ans. No, Counselling form has to be submitted in person by the candidate at the specified date.
