    GCET 2020 Application Form has been released by DTE, GOA. Candidates can apply for GCET 2020 till June 10, 2020. however, the process has been deferred due to lockdown. Aspiring candidates who missed the opportunity to apply have to download the form online, fill it in their own handwriting and submit it in offline mode between June 15 – 26, 2020. Previously the forms could be submitted from March 26 – April 1, 2020, However, candidates must note that there are 3 forms - Form A, Form B & Form C. 

    • Candidates Eligible for GCET are required to download Goa CET 2020 application form in A4 sheet, fill it and submit it to DTE Goa and other listed venues
    • For applying to GCET 2020, candidates only need to fill Application Form 2020 (Form A) at the official website i.e. dtegoa.gov.in.
    • After submission, candidates get an acknowledgement card and registration number as a token of proof for the application submission.
    • The application form should be sent along with the Demand Draft of INR 2000 payable at Panaji, in favor of “Director of Technical Education” drawn at any scheduled bank.
    • Candidates can obtain their GCET Admit Card in person at the time of application form submission.

    Eligibility Criteria

    GCET 2020 Eligibility Criteria

    Before filling the application form of GCET 2020, candidates are required to fulfill the eligibility criteria of prescribed by the exam conducting authorities.

    Nationality: Candidates should Indian nationals. Candidates who are not having a domicile or the citizenship certificate will not be eligible to apply for GCET 2020.

    Age requirements: There is no age limit for candidates applying for any engineering program.

    Domicile requirements: Candidates must have resided for a minimum period of 10 years. Candidates applying for concession in this must submit proof as specified

    Examination Board: An applicant must have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination of the Goa Board or an examination conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, or any other examination, which in scope and standard, is deemed to be equivalent to the H.S.S.C. examination of Goa Board

    Qualifying Marks:Applicant should have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (Class XII) Examination of the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with English, Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects with one of the following subjects Chemistry/Bio-Technology/Computer Science /Biology, and secured not less than 45% in the aggregate of subjects of Physics & Mathematics with one of the following subjects Chemistry/Bio-Technology/Computer Science/Biology. Applicants belonging to SC, ST, and OBC category must have secured 40%.

    GCET Eligibility Criteria 2020 for Kashmiri Migrants

    Candidates who belong to the Kashmiri migrants category should have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (Class XII) examination or its equivalent examination with English, Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects with one of the following subjects Chemistry/Bio-Technology/Computer Science/Biology and secured not less than 45% marks in the subjects of Physics & Mathematics with one of the following subjects Chemistry/Bio-Technology/Computer Science/Biology

    GCET Eligibility Criteria 2020 for B.Sc degree holder

    Candidates who have passed Diploma in Engineering/B.Sc. degree with Mathematics as a subject at Std 10+2 at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC, shall be eligible for admission to the first year of engineering degree courses, subject to vacancies.

    How to Apply?

    How to Apply for GCET 2020?

    The application form of GCET has to be submitted only in the offline mode. Candidates must verify that they fulfill the eligibility criteria of GCET 2020 before filling the application form. Candidates can check the step by step procedure to fill and submit GCET application form 2020 below:

    1. Download GCET 2020 Application Form (Form A) from the application link and take a print out on A4 Size paper. The paper should be of good quality.
    2. Enter all required particulars like Personal details, details related to the category of the candidates, etc.
    3. Affix 1 recent color photograph on the application form. Candidates must note that the photograph is taken not more than 3 months prior to the date of admission.
    4. Enclose two additional photographs with the GCET application form
    5. Enter complete postal address, including the postal code
    6. Enter telephone/contact number. The Telephone number must be entered by with area code in brackets
    7. Check your Subject-Codes (subject codes are mentioned in the table below) and encircle them
    8. Mention your centre code and name; choose your GCET centre 2020
    9. Enter details related to DD like DD number, Bank Name and Date on which it was issued.
    10. Candidates and their parents must sign at the designated place in the form.

    Required Documents along with GCET Application Form 2020

    • 3 passport size photographs. The photographs should not be taken more than 3 months before filling the application form.
    • Copy of SSCE Passing Certificate
    • Copy of class XII Passing certificate
    • DD for the Application Fees

    GCET 2020 Application Fee

    • Candidates need to get a DD of INR 2000 prepared in favour of "Director of Technical Education" drawn on any scheduled bank payable at Panaji branch against the application fee of GCET 2020.
    • Candidates must note that they should write their name, mobile number, address and other details on the back side of the DD.

    GCET 2020 Application Submission

    After filling the application form of Goa CET (GCET) 2020, the candidates have to personally submit the application form along with the other required documents at the following addresses,

    • Ravindra Bhavan, Margao (For South Goa District GCET Exam Centres, including Ponda)
    • Directorate of Technical Education, Porvorim (For North Goa District GCET Exam Centres)

    GCET 2020 Application Form Status and Form Correction

    GCET Application Form submission is considered successful if it is done in person. Candidates are required to visit the center and personally submit the GCET Application along with the supporting documents. GCET applications sent through post or via somebody else will be rejected. The candidate must also be aware that incomplete applications, applications containing wrong information and damaged applications will also be rejected. The admit card will be obtained after successful submission of the GCET application. There are no other means to receive the admit card.

    GCET Reservation Criteria

    Candidates will have to choose their category while filling the GCET application form 2020. Candidates will have to provide a document certificate for their category as a proof during counselling and admission process.

    SC Category (2%): There are 5 castes mentioned below which will be considered under the list of Scheduled Castes in the State of Goa. Candidates belonging to below mentioned castes will have to provide the caste certificate from Competent Authority with the view to avail all the benefits in Goa CET reservation criteria.

If there are candidates belonging any of these castes, they will be considered for the reservation benefits under Scheduled Caste in the State of Goa.
