What is INI CET?

INI CET stands for Institute of National Importance Combined Entrance Test. AIIMS New Delhi organises this exam on behalf of all participating INIs. It is a national-level postgraduate medical entrance test for admission to MD, MS, MDS, MCh (6-year), DM (6-year), and Fellowship programs at some of India’s top medical institutions.

The INI CET is conducted twice every year. The January 2027 session is the first session of 2027, and the exam for this intake is held in November 2026, with classes starting in January 2027. More than 65,000 candidates typically register for each session, competing for around 1,593 seats across 23 INIs.
