The registration process for the Institute of National Importance Combined Entrance Test (INI CET 2027) for the January session has been officially initiated on September 16, 2026, by the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi. The window follows the closure of the INI CET July 2026 (May session) cycle and marks the start of the next admission round for postgraduate medical and dental seats at AIIMS institutions and other participating Institutes of National Importance (INIs).

Eligible MBBS and BDS graduates can now complete basic registration and the application form through the official AIIMS examination portal. The registration window will remain open until October 13, 2026, up to 5:00 PM, after which the INI CET January 2027 session exam will be conducted on November 1, 2026 in computer-based test (CBT) mode.

  • The application window for the January session was formally opened by AIIMS on September 16, 2026.
  • Eligible candidates are required to submit their online registration forms no later than October 13, 2026.
  • A dedicated correction window to review the registration status and rectify rejected images or incorrect details will be made available from October 17, 2026, to October 19, 2026.
  • The final status of online registrations and the issuance of admit cards are scheduled to be uploaded on the portal on October 26, 2026.

INI CET 2026 Registration Process

INI CET 2026 registration process includes 5 stages – basic registration, code generation, final registration process, documents uploading, payment of registration fee. The applicant can apply for more than one PG course at the same time. To successfully fill the application form for INI CET 2026, applicants should complete all the following steps.

The INI CET Registration fee 2026 will be paid online during the final registration by debit card, credit card, and net banking. The INI CET Fees are non-refundable and vary according to the category of the candidate.

INI CET 2026 Eligibility

The INI CET Eligibility criteria is set by AIIMS, New Delhi and will be applicable for admission into participating institutes of National Importance.

  • Candidates should have an MBBS/BDS Degree, have completed their internship, and meet the minimum marks/percentile.
  • Both Indian & foreign nationals are eligible for the verification of documents.

Educational Qualification MBBS degree (for MD/MS/DM/MCh courses) or BDS degree (for MDS courses) from an MCI/DCI-recognised institution

  • UR/EWS: 55% aggregate in MBBS/BDS
  • SC/ST/OBC: 50% aggregate
Internship Requirement Completion of compulsory 12-month rotatory internship on or before 31 January 2026 for the January session
Registration Candidates must possess a valid provisional/permanent registration certificate issued by the MCI/DCI/State Medical or Dental Council
