Monash University allows students to work for both casual and part-time job opportunites while studying in Australia. Students are suggested to work not more than 15 hours a week, if they are a full-time Monash University student. It is considered that working more than 15 hours may affect the balance pf studying while working. However, it is suggeted to go through Australian study visa guidelines for better understanding the duration for which the specific visa type allows you to work. As per the guidelines, an international student with a visa is not allowed to work more than 40 hours a fortnight. Where fortnight is 14 days as of starting on Mondays.

Australia is a great place to work-while study. Here is why:

    • Work place protection offered to international students is same as that offered to any Australian.
    • Irrespective of your job you will be offered a minimum wage pay rate on an hourly basis as per the guidelines of the Australian Government.
    • A strong support is offered to international student workers by both education institute, as well as government and private organizations.

In case planning for holiday work, you can work for unlimited hours. Details on holiday work may vary depending on the Australian student visa subclass. You can search for more information through the immigrations website of the county.

Jobs for Student Program is a specific program at the university for students looking for earn-while-learn opportunitie while pursuing studies at the university. The program majorly offers casual jobs that can help in building employability skills and give you a kick start in your career. The types of jobs available under the program include:

    • Marketing Assistant
    • Service Desk Officer
    • Research Assistant

All it takes for registering for the program is uploading your resume here. Once you have uploaded your resume for Monash’s Jobs for student program wait for an opportunity to arise and connect with the Jobs for students team as soon as one arises.

Monash Univeristy offers an online databases “Career Gateway- an online job portal of Monash”. One can log-in with their Monash account in the portal and find out about the part-time and casual job vacancies. Apart from the univeristy portal, you can also look for jobs through local newpapers, local shopping and business centers, general recruitment agencies, and with the hidden job market.

Hence, it can be concluded that international students who secure admissions with Monash University are offered a fair opportunity to earn-while they learn. Additionally, students looking for voluntary jobs are also offered a plethora of opportunities to work with a variety of charity and non-government organizations.

Considering the reputation of Monash university in Australia and globally is a plus point to opt for this university. Post graduate job opportunities are very good.

Good practical opportunities. A lot of research goes on and some cutting edge stuff is done here with aspects on commercialisation. I wanted to learn that process. Hence, I'm here.

    Course Curriculum :

Everything is of a good standard, but if you take away the practicals because of Covid, the theory is comparable to our best universities.

I wanted to get my degree from here because my college is fully owned by Monash University, which is Australia’s largest university. They are the preferred pathway to Monash University for students like me (international students). After securing a GPA of 7.8, I was required to submit a common application and pay $100 for it. I was keen to get admitted here.

    Course Curriculum :

Information technology is fast-paced and ever-changing. More than ever, people and organizations are seeing opportunities to leverage IT, and as an IT professional, I was a vital part of this transformation. At Monash, they’re in the business of discovering how IT can help meet the key global challenges of the 21st century.

I chose this college because it offers the unique opportunity to chose major in business analytics. The online application fees they had charged was around $ 60. It was a quite difficult task for me to get approval from this institute because I was on the point in terms of eligible marks criteria.

    Course Curriculum :

In my course structure, I was given a valuable insight into business environments. It had given me an immense exposure to research-informed and industry-driven business concepts which is generally required in a stable business course structure.

I applied to multiple universities in order to get the best place to pursue my graduation in Mechanical Engineering. Among them I had received approval letter from many of them. I chose this university because it is world's most advanced engineering facilities including a next generation immersive hybrid 2-D and 3-D virtual reality environment.

    Course Curriculum :

As a mechanical engineer, I had gotten the opportunity to design advanced materials for supersonic and hypersonic space travel, design robots and automatic control systems. In my favorite subject list there were Thermodynamics, Fluid mechanics and Theory of Machines.
