Humber College Admission 2020-2021, Requirement, Deadline & Acceptance Rate

The Humber College, Canada enrolls over 6,000 international students undergraduate and graduate to over 4,700 international applicants from across 138 countries every academic year. The college also offers over 400 online courses in addition to offline courses.

  • Fresh admissions are invited for the fall term. Though the admission deadlines for all the applicants are same, for some countries the application process closes sooner.
  • Candidates must online through the Ontario Colleges Admissions Portal.
  • The application deadlines for are February 1. Applications received till this date are considered equal. Post-February 1, applications are considered on a first-come-first-serve basis.

Visa Process for International Students

Candidates will have to apply for a temporary visa through Canadian consulate, High Commission or the Embassy. The temporary visa is required for applying for a study permit.

  • Documents required for a temporary visa:
    • Valid passport
    • Specified application fee (billed in CND)
    • The offer of admission received from Lakehead University.
    • Evidence of sufficient funds
    • Medical exam
  • Study Permit requirements:
    • A valid passport

  • After completing the process, the paper will be sent to Case Processing Center n Ottawa, Ontario
  • Later, candidates will have to upload the IMM 5257 Form

Admission Requirements for Bachelor’s Degree

  • International Applicants are required to fulfill country-specific requirements. These are mentioned below:
    • An average of 70% in previously attended course/program at an accredited degree-granting university, for Indian Applicants.
    • A grade of minimum 4 in a relevant subject in Upper Secondary School Leaving Certificate OR Japanese University Entrance Qualification with 70% grade is required for Japanese applicants
    • National Sr. High School examination with B grade in relevant subjects or minimum 70% grade is required for Chinese applicants.

Types of Offers by Humber College

Conditional admissions are offered to applicants in various cases. Applicants currently in their secondary school can apply and can be admitted on the condition that by the first day of class, outstanding documents are submitted along with the completion of the secondary school.

Alternate admissions: Applicants failing to fulfill admission requirements for the program applied can be considered for a different program.

Waitlisted applicants: A waitlist may also be created for a program with high applications. Qualified applicants can be considered for waitlist if enough seats are not available.

In case the student has no received an email from the college even after three weeks after submitting the application form, then the candidate can send an email at international@humber.ca requesting the application status.
