I came to know about this business school through my relatives living in Ottawa, Canada. Actually, I started looking for colleges in Canada right after the completion of my BBA with 80% marks. I always dreamed about pursuing my post-graduation in MBA from abroad. I applied in three business schools including DeGroote, the business school was cheaper as compared to others therefore, I preferred it over others.
The course curriculum of this business school is little bit different from the others. Not only the theoretical, but practical subjects also in the course. To develop the confidence level in the students presentations are also given by the students on the topics allocated. Guest lecture are also commenced in which new marketing trends and many other aspects are discussed.
McMasters University is specifically known in Canada for its masters programs. The options for masters are very wide and customized which is why this university became one of the most prime choices for me. Moreover, my bachelors were also from McMasters so I was already familiar with everything around the campus.
The course entirely is built around interaction and being a community. Inclusivity is impotant for any student studying at the university and is helpful in keeping in touch with everything that happens during class or lectures.
During my junior year, I attended a summer program at McMaster which turned out to be very good. And I became familiar with the campus in a few weeks. Since then I had decided to take admission to McMaster University only. I applied for the university through a common application form.
The best thing about my curriculum is that it is not very specific or generic at the same time. This four-year Bachelor of Technology program has been designed to provide a balance of university-level course study and practical experience by applying classroom knowledge and theory to real-life situations. After the completion of the course, I will also be receiving an advanced college diploma along with a Bachelor of Technology degree.
During my junior year, I attended a summer porgram at McMaster which turned out to be very well and I was already familiar with the campus in a few weeks. Since then, I was set on the univeristy. I had to do B.Tech in the future so it made sense to join the well appreciated program at the university.
The thing I like about the curriculum of B.tech is that it's not very specific or generic at the same time. We get to attend lectures and apply them to practical work as well which works very well. Hands-on learning is a very effective aspect of the course.
One of my friends told me about this university as she herself did her graduation from the same place. After she told me about the university I did deep research. Then finally I applied to the university. My 85% in high school, as well as the English proficiency marks, helped me to get through it.
With the help of the Civil Engineering course, I am getting to learn the techniques of planning, safely designing, constructing, maintaining, and rehabilitating community infrastructure. I am also getting my hands on Civil engineer's design. And also after the completion of the course, I will be able to construct many facilities that are critical to our society.
