BMSIT Bangalore Admission 2027 is open for BE, M.Tech, MBA, MCA and Ph.D. BMSIT is BMS Institute of Technology and Management at Avalahalli, Yelahanka. It is an autonomous college affiliated to VTU, and it does not hold its own entrance test. BE seats are filled through KCET and KEA counselling, or through COMEDK UGET and COMEDK counselling. The BMS Educational Trust fills the management seats. M.Tech, MBA and MCA seats are filled through Karnataka PGCET and KEA counselling, and M.Tech also takes GATE. For 2026 to 27, a general KCET student paid INR 1.2 Lakhs at KEA and INR 10,000 at BMSIT. KCET 2027 registration should open on 17 Jan 2027 (tentative, based on last year).

BMSIT offers BE in seven branches. Computer Science and Engineering is the largest, with 900 seats. Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning has 360 seats, and Electronics and Communication has 180. Computer Science and Business Systems, Electrical, Mechanical and Civil have 60 seats each. Your rank and the order of your options decide the branch you get.
BMSIT Bangalore BE Eligibility 2027
You need to pass Class 12 with Physics and Maths. Your third subject can be Chemistry, Biotechnology, Computer Science, Biology or Electronics. You need 45% in these three subjects, with English as one of your languages. SC, ST and OBC students from Karnataka need 40% for a KCET seat. For a management seat, the BMS Educational Trust asks for 60%.

Your first year fee depends on how you got the seat. For 2026 to 27, a general KCET student paid INR 1.2 Lakhs at KEA and INR 10,000 at BMSIT. On a PGCET seat, you paid INR 20,000 to BMSIT for 2026 to 27, plus the tuition fee set by the state. SC and ST students paid INR 31,880 to BMSIT. On a management seat, Computer Science tuition was INR 1.25 Lakhs a year. Cyber Security was INR 1.5 Lakhs, and VLSI System Design was INR 2.5 Lakhs. There is no skill lab fee for M.Tech.

Short answers to what students ask before they apply.
What does the INR 10,000 skill lab fee pay for?▾
It pays for skill lab training that VTU allows colleges to run. Every first year BE student at BMSIT pays it, whether your seat is from KEA, COMEDK or the management quota. It is paid to BMSIT, not to KEA.
I am SC or ST on a KCET seat. Why must I pay tuition later?▾
Your tuition is meant to come from the state scholarship. Apply on the State Scholarship Portal early. Once the money reaches you, BMSIT asks you to pay INR 1,08,000 of tuition into the college account at once.
I am a Category 1 student on a KCET seat. How does my fee work?▾
First, KEA collects INR 96,170 from you, and BMSIT collects the INR 10,000 skill lab fee. Apply for the state scholarship straight away. Once it is paid to you, transfer INR 24,150 of tuition to the BMSIT account.
Why do COMEDK students from outside Karnataka pay more at BMSIT?▾
The VTU fee is higher for them. In 2026, a Karnataka student paid INR 22,320 at BMSIT, a student from another state INR 24,120, and an NRI student INR 36,120. The INR 3.22 Lakhs paid at COMEDK was the same for all.
Can I write both KCET and COMEDK UGET?▾
Yes. They are separate exams with separate forms, so you can write both. If you get BMSIT seats through both, keep only one and cancel the other before the last date.
Who decides the management seats at BMSIT?▾
The BMS Educational Trust handles them, not KEA or COMEDK. Its council of trustees sets the fee, and the chief of the admission committee gives the seats. You apply at the trust office.
How do I pay the management seat fee?▾
