I have chosen PGDM in marketing specialization with business verticals in IT. I chose marketing because I like communicating with people. The ratios of boys to a girl in this college is almost 60:40. The case study method is used in this college. Publishing from Harvard business review are also taught here. The faculty has a lot of experience in the corporate world. Term Exams comes almost after 5 months and if you have carefully studied what has been taught in college, little creativity can easily give you good grades.
It is the flagship course of the college. No idea about this, but there is enough staff to manage things out. Highly qualified and experienced staff. Things are very timely and yes it bit difficult to cope up with the curriculum.
I am in PGDM marketing. This college is best known for its marketing and Insurance management course. If you are choosing finance then you have to give a test and clear it. There is a 1:65 faculty-student ratio. The faculties are good here and came from reputed and well known institutes like IIM-A, C, L. The faculty follows a practical as well as a theoretical approach. BIMTECH have trimesters for exam i.e., 3 exams in 1st year and 3 exams in 2nd year followed my mid-terms, OLT's, viva, assignments, ample of projects.
I choose PGDM because it is a flagship Course and placements are decent. Most of the faculties are PhD and have both industrial and teaching experience. Teaching method - Case Studies discussion and Simulation games Exams happen every 3 months and we have to revise the concepts regularly to score well. Internship Duration - May to June (2 Month)
I have chosen Marketing. The faculties here are very informative. Apart from regular courses, major emphasis is given to case studies. All the faculties are either from good colleges or having vast industry experience or amalgamation of both. There are specified midterms and end-term exams. Apart from that surprise quiz takes place from time to time.
I choose to finance. For opting for finance, we have to give a test. On the basis of that, we will get finance or not. The faculty is good. Some of them are really good and knowledgeable. We get different kinds of projects and quizzes as well. Faculty are from good B schools and have good corporate experience as well. We have frequent quizzes and one or two big projects per semester. Internals and midterm score 50 marks and the end term scores 50 marks. Total making of 100 marks.
This was the flagship course of BIMTECH, that's why I choose it. 1:60 is the faculty: student ratio. Few of the faculty members are very good. Sometimes visiting faculty also comes & teaches. Exams are conducted every 3 months & you have to try really hard to pass.
I am inclined towards Marketing since I opted to pursue MBA that's why I choose Marketing as my major, due to my Statistics and mathematics background I also choose analytics as my minors (Business vertical). This is the best part of BIMTECH as they give you a chance to choose your business vertical (BFSI, Data Analytics, IT IES), Faculty-student ratio is decent and BIMTECH have some well-qualified faculties from IIM-A as well (Prof Dhruva chak, Prof. RJ Maslamani) there is no flaw in the exam and timely trisem based exam are there.
I'm a student of Bimtech, currently pursuing a PGDM in marketing. Bimtech provides with various courses, like, PGDM (core), PGDM-IB, PGDM-IBM and PGDM-RM. Under core, we can further opt for Marketing, Finance, Human Resource and operations. For opting for finance, you need to take paper for this. I chose marketing as I am really interested in doing this. I'm an extrovert, sociable and innovative person and find myself comfortable doing marketing than any other courses. The faculty is really good, having a lot of experience in their field and have an impressive background. Most of the teachers are from top B-Schools and also have good work experience. The faculty to students ratio is around 1:30. First, two trimesters are basically theory based. We are taught about the main subject. While in the third trimester we have simulation for different subjects, making it more interesting to learn. Quiz and projects are given for each subject on a regular basis. Internal assessment is for 50 marks.
As PGDM is the flagship course of BIMTECH & I want to do my MBA in the general field & not in IB (International Business) or IBM (Insurance Business Management) or RM (Retail Management), so I took the PGDM course. there are 240 students in the PGDM course we have 4 sections of about 60 students each. Each subject is taught by a new faculty for that section. The teaching method of every faculty is different & it depends on the course. Most all the faculty are doctorate or are MBAs. Some of the visiting faculty are corporates who like to teach, as well as directors or distinguish people of prominent institutes. So it is a PGDM course, a diploma & not an MBA degree, so, we have 6 trimesters in 2 years. Every trimester is of 2.5 months (approx.). Every trimester has mid-term exams & end term exams for each subject. As currently, I am in the third trimester, I can say that till now, every trimester has 7-8 courses.
