MSRIT Bangalore MBA: Fees 2026, Course Duration, Dates, Eligibility

Ramaiah Institute of Technology in Bangalore offers a two-year, full-time MBA with five specialisation options and 120 seats in all. RIT is an autonomous institute under VTU, set up in 1962. Its MBA was the first in the Bangalore region to get academic autonomy from VTU, in 2007. A Karnataka PGCET seat costs INR 1.77 Lakhs for the full course, the same for every specialisation. A management seat costs INR 7.62 Lakhs for Karnataka students. KEA counselling gives out the PGCET seats. In 2025 every specialisation closed at rank 1,207 for General Merit in round 3. The institute publishes one median for all two-year PG courses, INR 6.1 LPA, and no figure for the MBA alone.

RIT MBA Fees

The total fees with hostel is INR 2.97 Lakhs and the fees without hostel is INR 1.77 Lakhs on a Karnataka PGCET seat. A management seat costs INR 7.62 Lakhs for Karnataka students and INR 8.15 Lakhs for others. You pay the PGCET seat fee after KEA gives you the seat. The hostel adds at least INR 60,000 a year.

RIT MBA Admission Dates 2026

The round 1 mock allotment came out on 19 Sep 2026, and option editing closes on 22 Sep 2026. The real round 1 is expected in Sep 2026 and classes in Nov 2026. KEA holds every round, and RIT holds no test of its own for PGCET seats.

RIT MBA Eligibility

You need a three-year degree with 50% marks, or 45% if you are SC, ST or Category 1 from Karnataka. For a PGCET seat you need a Karnataka PGCET MBA rank. For a management seat, a KMAT, MAT or PGCET score works. Every specialisation uses the same rule.

RIT MBA Admission Process

The steps are the PGCET exam, KEA registration, option entry, the seat fee and reporting at RIT. You write the exam, and KEA checks your papers online. You list colleges in the order you want them, and KEA gives you the highest one your rank reaches. You then pay the fee and report with originals.

RIT MBA Specialisations: Branches and Seats

All five specialisation options share 120 seats and one General Merit close, 1,207 in round 3 of 2025. Three options cover one field and two pair marketing with a second field. RIT MBA Cutoff

The General Merit seat closed at 339 in round 1 and at 1,207 in round 3 of 2025. The 2AG seat closed at 2,291 in round 3. Every specialisation had the same close. Later rounds opened seats to lower ranks, so keep RIT in your options if your rank is near the close.

RIT MBA Placements

RIT made 149 MBA offers in 2024 and 117 in 2023. It reports one median for all two-year PG courses, INR 6.1 LPA, and no average or placement rate for the MBA alone. One student can hold more than one offer, so offers are not the same as students placed.

RIT MBA Scholarships

The biggest waiver is the full course fee of INR 1.77 Lakhs for SC and ST students with family income up to INR 2.5 Lakhs. Category 1, 2A, 3A and 3B students can get the same through the backward classes department. You apply on the state scholarship portal after admission, and it works only on a PGCET seat.

RIT MBA Ranking

Collegedunia ranks RIT #123 for MBA in 2026, and NIRF ranked the whole institute #75 in engineering in 2025. NIRF does not rank the RIT MBA on its own. The MBA sits in the Department of Management Studies, one of many departments on the campus.

RIT MBA Hostel and Campus

Hostel costs INR 60,000 to INR 1.70 Lakhs a year, by room type. The campus sits in MSR Nagar in north Bangalore. The department has tie ups with EY GSS and MCX, and you choose single or dual specialisation during the course.
