Ques. Which college is better among BIT Sindri and MS Ramaiyah?

● Top Answer By Ankur Malik on 16 Feb 21

Ans. MS Ramaiah (MSRIT) is considered as one of the top engineering colleges in Karnataka and is among the top 50 institutes across India as per the preferences of potential candidates. It has an all-India reputation of being a decent institute. But BIT Sindri is mostly known among the people of Jharkhand only. Among the two institutes, MS Ramaiah is the better option due to the overall placement scenario, exposure in the corporate and IT industries, and several other reasons listed below. The table below gives a brief comparison between the two institutes. Particulars MS Ramaiah BIT Sindri NIRF ’20 Rank 59 46 Total Fees (B.Tech) 3.5 Lakhs (approx) 1.2 Lakhs (approx) Admission exam COMEDK UGET, KCET JCECE Placement Percentage 95-100% 65% Highest Salary Package 50 LPA 10 LPA Placement (Winning institute- MS Ramaiah): MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology is situated in the IT hub of India, Bangalore. Having exposure to thousands of companies nearby, several companies visit the campus for placement. MS Ramaiah has seen close to 250 companies in its placement sessions, which is undoubtedly a huge number. BIT Sindri, situated in Dhanbad has its placement statistics nowhere close to MS Ramaiah in this case. So, MS Ramaiah is undoubtedly a clear winner among the two institutes. It can be assumed that anyone among the top 10 institutes in Karnataka is a better choice than BIT Sindri, looking into the matter of IT exposure.Read more

Remarks :

The college has a very great history, it has a very huge campus and many other essential facilities are available nearby. It's close to all means of transport and has great placements. The admission process is very simple, after the seat is allotted by the K-CET, we need to come to the college within the given date and make the admission after the general verification process, and the remaining admission fees are to be paid in the college. I preferred this college due to its presence in the city and the exposure it offers to the student to progress ahead and also due to its placement statistics.

Admission :

Two entrance exams are there, comedk for everyone and cet for karnataka students only. Online counselling will be there to confirm the seats then you have to take admission for that seat by going to the college. Forms for exam will be open in feb or march and exam will be in 1st week of may mostly, centers are all over the india and exam is on online platform. Over all admission process is easy.

Remarks :

Placement department is not much responsive to students and very very slow in each decision. Even placement dept is unaware of what post a company is company is coming. I am final year student and I have faced things when we reached at interview venue and got to know that our college name is withdrawn from that interview, and our college didn't inform us.

"Reality of top college of Bangalore"

The good aspect is the college campus is in the centre of Bangalore. The bad aspect is College campus is too small. Admission procedure: Three ways Comedk, Kcet, Management. I prefer Ramiah because it is in Bangalore which provides good exposure to learn new skills. I use Quora to get a review about the college.

The admission is done through comedy examination on the national level, KCET AT the state level, and through management quota. One should prefer this college for CSE, ISE, and ECE branch being at strategic position one can find a good job and even good anchor investors for the funding of one's startup.
