AIIMS PG 2020 PATTERN & SYLLABUS

AIIMS PG Exam Pattern 2020 - Medical graduates must be familiar with AIIMS PG 2020 exam pattern in order to appear in the entrance exam. Candidates can learn about the structure of the post-graduate medical entrance test through the exam pattern decide by AIIMS, New Delhi.
All India Institute for Medical Sciences (AIIMS) has made some significant changes in AIIMS PG 2020. The authority made changes in number of seats, exam pattern, marking scheme, time duration, exam centers etc. AIIMS PG 2020 (January Session) will be conducted on November 17, 2019.
Number of Seats – As per the latest announcement, there will be 14 MDS seats and 464 MD/MS/DM/MCh seats in Basic Clinical and Clinical Sciences.
Time Duration – Exam duration and number of questions have been increased for MDS program, now candidates have to attempt 200 questions in 3 hours instead of 90 questions in 1 hour 30 minutes.
Exam Center – The number of exam centers has been decreased. From upcoming session, Gandhinagar in Gujarat will not be available as a centre and candidates will have to choose from 64 available cities.
Marking Scheme – The marking scheme will be different for each type of questions.
Exam Pattern – AIIMS has made a very big change in pattern, from now, applicants have to seven types of questions in the exam i.e.

The exam pattern of AIIMS PG 2020 is different for MD/MS and MDS courses. Candidates can check the AIIMS PG 2020 exam pattern for both MD/MS as well as MDS programmes provided in the table below.

AIIMS administers AIIMS PG Exam and there will be a single question paper consisting of multiple-choice questions based on the syllabus of MBBS programmes.
The objective questions will be based on the syllabus of M.B.B.S and BDS programmes for MS/MD and MDS respectively.
The conducting body AIIMS will employ negative marking for evaluation. 1/3rd marks will be deducted for incorrect answer from the total.
AIIMS PG syllabus includes Pre-clinical, Para-clinical and Clinical Phase from the M.B.B.S syllabus. The subjects divided into each of these phases should be thoroughly studied by the aspirants.
