AISSEE participation grew sharply from 2022 to 2025, peaking at approximately 2.10 lakh students in 2025 — driven by the inclusion of many newly approved Sainik Schools in the national admission pool, which significantly widened the seat intake and attracted more applicants. AISSEE 2026 saw a slight dip to ~1.78 lakh, a seasonal correction after two high-volume years. For AISSEE 2027, participation is expected to stabilise in the range of 1.9 to 2.1 lakh students as the expanded school network matures and awareness of the newly approved schools grows.

AISSEE 2027 Eligibility Criteria (Before You Apply)

Verify your eligibility before filling the AISSEE 2027 application form. An ineligible application will be rejected and the fee will not be refunded — so confirm every criterion before you pay.

Category reservations: Seats are reserved for Defence students (children of serving defence personnel and ex-servicemen), SC, ST, and OBC students as per Sainik Schools Society norms. How to Fill AISSEE Application Form 2027

The AISSEE 2027 application form will be available only online at exams.nta.nic.in/sainik-school-society/. There is no offline, postal, or centre-based application mode. Follow the two-phase process below when the window opens.

Phase 1: New Registration

1. Visit exams.nta.nic.in/sainik-school-society/ and click “New Registration” or “New Candidate Register Here”.
2. Enter your name, date of birth, gender, mobile number, and email ID exactly as they appear on your birth certificate or Class 5 / Class 8 school certificate.
3. Verify your mobile number with the OTP sent via SMS and your email ID with the OTP sent to your inbox.
4. Set a strong password (minimum 8 characters, mixing uppercase, lowercase, a number, and a special character).
5. Note your Application Number — you will use it for all future logins, including admit card download and result checking.
6. Log out and log back in to confirm your credentials work before proceeding to Phase 2.

Phase 2: Fill the Application Form

1. Log in at exams.nta.nic.in/sainik-school-society/ with your Application Number and Password.
2. Fill in personal details: name, date of birth, gender, category, sub-category (Defence / SC / ST / OBC / General), and nationality.
3. Select the class you are applying for — Class 6 or Class 9. You can apply for only one class per application form.
4. Fill in academic details: current class, school name, board of education, and academic year.
5. Select up to 4 exam centre preferences in order of preference from the available cities. NTA allocates centres based on availability and may not honour all preferences.
6. Select your medium of exam — English, Hindi, or a regional language as offered for your preferred centre.
7. Upload your recent passport-size photograph, signature, and left thumb impression in the required format and within the size limits (see Documents section for specs).
8. Review every detail carefully — cross-check your name, date of birth, category, class applied for, and uploaded images before proceeding to payment.
9. Pay the application fee via debit card, credit card, net banking, or UPI.
10. After successful payment, download and print the confirmation page. Keep it safe — you will need it for admit card download, exam entry, and counselling.

Documents Required for AISSEE Application Form 2027

The AISSEE 2027 application fee is expected to remain the same as the 2026 cycle. The fee is payable online only — no cash, demand draft, or offline payment mode is available. Pay only after confirming your eligibility; the fee is non-refundable under all circumstances.

NTA will open a short application form correction window after AISSEE 2027 registration closes — expected in November 2026. Use this window to fix specific errors in your submitted form. Review your form carefully right after submitting so you know exactly what to correct when the window opens.
