LAT 2018 Result will be available online and can be downloaded by visiting the official website mentioned above. The examination governing authority will further release a list of shortlisted candidates based on the merit and cut off list, who will thereby be eligible for counseling and admission.

An answer key is a material that is declared or published after an examination, containing answers to the questions of the concerned paper. It is usually published by the examination authority. The answer key gives candidates an opportunity to check and verify their answers and predict success in the concerned examination.

The score card of LAT 2018 is released once the examination result has been announced. This card is a necessary document and is to be submitted at the time of counseling and admission. Hence, candidates are required to download it and keep a sufficient number of copies in hand. The score card of LAT 2018 displays the marks/scores the candidate has fetched in the examination.

Once LAT 2018 result has been declared, the examination conducting body, i.e. the Allahabad University, will announce the merit list. The merit list shows the selected number of pupils who have been ranked according to the marks obtained in LAT 2018. Candidates whose names appear in this list will be given preference for admission.
Cut off refers to the minimum marks required for qualifying an exam. LAT 2018 will announce cut off scores a week after the examination result is out. LAT 2018 cut off will be announced for all categories - general, OBC, SC/ST and physically handicapped. Candidates who qualify here are eligible for counseling. Cut off list can be viewed online by logging into the official website.

LAT 2018 employs a negative marking pattern. Candidates obtain a score of 2 for every correct answer, -0.5 for every wrong answer and a score of 0 for questions that have not been attempted. Also, candidates are given 0 if there is more than one answer.

Once the Allahabad University announces the merit and cut off lists, selected aspirants are subject to counseling. LAT 2018 counseling will tentatively begin from the 2nd week of July. It is an offline procedure and will be done in the presence of the selected candidate.
Candidates are to download the 'counseling form' and fill it. This form must be brought at the time of counseling. It can be downloaded from the official website. Candidates are to arrive at the venue on time and at the right date.
