CLAT PG 2026 Exam Center Allotment Process
The Consortium of NLUs follows a structured process to allot exam centers for CLAT PG. Candidates choose their preferred cities during registration, and the Consortium assigns centers based on availability. Below are the key steps in the allotment process:
- Candidates choose up to 3 preferred exam cities in order of priority while filling the CLAT 2026 application form on the official website.
- The Consortium processes all applications and allots centers based on seat availability at each city.
- The first preferred city is considered first. If seats are unavailable, the second or third preference is used.
- The allotted exam center name, full address, and reporting time are printed on the CLAT PG Admit Card 2026.
- Candidates must appear at the allotted center only. Appearing at a different center is not permitted under any circumstances.
The final allotment decision rests entirely with the Consortium of NLUs. Candidates are advised to choose cities that are geographically convenient and within easy travel reach on exam day.

CLAT PG 2026 Exam Center Change: Is It Allowed?
Once the CLAT PG Admit Card 2026 was issued, center change requests were not entertained by the Consortium of NLUs. Candidates must select preferred exam cities carefully during registration, as the allotted center cannot be changed after the admit card is released.
The Consortium may revise center allotment only in limited exceptional circumstances:
- If a center becomes unavailable due to unforeseen events such as a natural disaster or infrastructure failure, the Consortium issues a revised admit card with an alternate center in the same or a nearby city.
- Candidates who chose the wrong city during form filling could correct it only within the officially announced application correction window - no changes were allowed after this window closed.
- No individual center-change requests were processed by the Consortium after the correction window deadline.
Note: In past CLAT cycles, the Consortium has occasionally issued revised admit cards for candidates in specific cities where center changes were necessary. Candidates should always check the official CLAT website for any such announcements before exam day.
