JEECUP 2021 or UPJEE (UP Polytechnic) is a state-level entrance exam conducted by the Joint Entrance Examination Council, Uttar Pradesh for admission to diploma courses Technology, Engineering and Pharmacy. Qualified candidates will be granted admission to assorted polytechnic institutes aligned with the Board of Technical Education, Uttar Pradesh. According to the basic JEECUP Eligibility Criteria, a candidate should have passed the 10th class with a minimum of 35% aggregate marks.

Eligibility Criteria

JEECUP 2021 Eligibility Criteria

Before going ahead with an application, a fresher should be enlightened about JEECUP 2021 Eligibility guidelines. Group-wise JEECUP eligibility criteria vary. The basic eligibility criteria have been mentioned below:

  • applicants with 35% in class 10th are eligible for admissions to diploma courses offered through JEECUP exam.
  • The lower age limit of an applicant is 14 yrs. but there is no cap on the upper age limit.
  • The student must be a domicile of Uttar Pradesh.

JEECUP 2021 Application Form

JEECUP 2021 Application Form is available online on jeecup.nic.in. Before filling the form, candidates should be ready with respective scanned documents which include passport size photograph, thumb impression, signature.

Steps to Fill JEECUP 2021 Application Form

  • Step 1: Visit the official website of JEECUP (jeecup.nic.in)
  • Step 2: Click on the link “Apply for UPJEE Polytechnic 2021”
  • Step 3: Candidates will register and confirm their phone number and email id.
  • Step 4: Candidates will select the group for Joint Entrance Exam – Group A or Group B to K.
  • Step 5: After finishing off the registration process, students will again log in.
  • Step 6: Students will fill up all the attributes mentioned in the form.
  • Step 7: Upload photograph, signature and thumb impression.
  • Step 8: Submit a registration fee of Rs. 300 for General category (Rs. 200 for SC/ST category) via online or offline mode.

Note

  • Application Fees can be submitted via Net banking/ Debit card/ Credit card/ E- challan
  • The photograph should be coloured. The name of the candidate and date of taking the photograph should be printed on it.
  • Photograph and signature should be in JPEG format. The former having a file size from 4KB – 200KB and the later having file size from 1KB to 30KB.
  • Candidates are recommended to take printouts of the confirmation page and keep it for future references.

JEECUP 2021 Admit Card will be released in June 2021 on the official website - jeecup.nic.in. Students are urged to check all the details thoroughly in their JEECUP admit card. If there is an error in the admit card, they should directly inform the examination authority.

  • Step 1: Open the official website of JEECUP
  • Step 2: On the website homepage, click on the download admit card link of the selected group.

JEECUP 2021 Preparation Tips

JEECUP consists of 100 objective type questions. Every correct answer will land 4 marks and every incorrect answer will lead to negative marking. Certain points should be kept in mind by the students while preparing for the exam-

  • Understanding of Concept - Basic concepts should be clear. Each formula should be on the fingertips because in exams there will be no time for derivation.
  • Planning- Planning should be done 9-10 months before the exam as to how many topics you will cover in a single day or a week & strictly follow the regime.
  • Practice - Practice with as many mock papers as you can. It will help you in enhancing your speed as well as reducing the chances of committing silly mistakes.
  • Time Management – Start doing mock papers in a limited time only. Don’t get stuck at a single question for too long.

JEECUP 2021 Counselling

Based on marks scored and rank achieved, seats will be allocated to the candidates in the counselling round. The given procedure should be followed for JEECUP 2021 Counselling 

  • JEECUP Counselling will be conducted in three rounds for state qualified candidates.
  • Candidates should complete their registration process with JEECUP roll no. and password.
  • Candidate needs to pay a counselling fee of Rs. 250 through SBI MOPS
  • After fee payment, candidates are eligible to select choices of course and colleges.
  • There is no curtailment for filing of choices
  • Applicants will be able to download their seat allotment result by filling their roll no. and date of birth.
  • If any college is allocated to a candidate, they have to submit a seat acceptance fee of Rs. 3000.
  • Students will report to the official centre for verification of documents.
  • After verification, the candidate will visit the allocated institute for admission.

JEECUP 2021 Seat Allotment

JEECUP 2021 Seat allotment is based on reservation, preference of candidate and State Open Rank of UPJEE. For each JEECUP counselling session, results are disclosed on the website. Candidates can check these results and follow the JEECUP 2021 counselling procedure

The procedure to check the seat allotment result is as follows

  1. Visit the official id of JEECUP i.e. jeecup.nic.in
  2. To login, candidates have to fill their roll no. and password
  3. By clicking on the sign in button, details are submitted.
  4. Candidates will be able to see their seat allotment result
  5. If a candidate is satisfied with the allotted seat, they have to submit a seat allotment fee of Rs. 3000 to freeze their seat in the respective college
  6. If a student is not satisfied they can select the “Float” option and they will be eligible to participate in further counselling rounds.
  7. Followed by document verification at the official centre.

Ans. With the cancellation of CBSE Class 10th boards and delay by various other education boards, it is likely that JEECUP 2021 might be postponed.   

Ques. In what mode is JEECUP 2021 conducted?

Ans. JEECUP 2021 entrance test for Group A and E will be conducted in offline mode whereas Group B to I & K1 to K8 will be held in online CBT mode.

Ques. What is the procedure to edit centres in JEECUP application form?

Ans. There is no procedure to edit exam centres in JEECUP application form. Once an application form is submitted, the exam centre cannot be edited.

Ques. Can students whose Class 10th results are awaited apply for JEECUP 2021?

Ans. Students whose Class 10th results are awaited can appear in the examination. But such candidates are required to submit their result/ scores at the time of JEECUP Counselling.

Ans. No, there is no exemption in JEECUP fees for female candidates. Only SC/ST candidates are given such relaxation.
