JNU CEEB (Jawaharlal Nehru University Combined Entrance Examination for Biotechnology) also known as GAT-B is a University Level exam conducted once every year. Until 2019 the exam was conducted by NTA. This year onwards the exam will be conducted by Regional Centre for Biotechnology. Candidates seeking admission in various postgraduate M.Sc and M.Tech programs in participating universities can apply for the exam.

  • Candidates should have passed a bachelor degree with 50% marks from a recognized university to apply for JNU CEEB 2021.
  • General category candidates have to make payment of INR 340 and reserved category candidates have to make payment of INR 260.

JNU CEEB 2021 Counseling Process

Counselling process will begin after the declaration of JNU CEEB 2021 result. In counselling process candidates will be allotted seats in the desired courses on the basis of their result. Candidates should take all the original documents on the day of counselling process.

Documents required on the day of counselling process:

  • Two self-attested copies of matriculation certificate
  • Two self-attested copies of 10+2 certificate
  • Two self-attested copies of institution last attended
  • Character certificate from the Head of the institution last attended 
  • Two self-attested certificate of statement of marks obtained in senior school and Bachelor degree program
  • SC/ST/OBC Certificate if applicable
  • A Medical Certificate for PWD Candidates certifying that the disability is not less than 40%
  • Migration Certificate (in original) from the Head of the Institution/University last attended

JNU CEEB 2021 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must check JNU CEEB 2021 Eligibility Criteria before filling application form. Candidates who does not able to satisfy JNU CEEB Eligibility criteria will not be consider for admission. Given below si the eligibility criteria candidates can check:

  • There is no age limit criteria to apply for JNU CEEB 2021
  • Candidates should have completed a Bachelor degree program from a recognized university in the following field i.e. Biological, Physical, Veterinary and Fishery Sciences, Agriculture, Pharmacy, Engineering/Technology, 4-years B. SC (Physician Assistance Course); or Medicine (MBBS) or BDS
  • Candidates need to score 50% marks in Bachelor Degree to become eligible
  • Candidates appearing for qualifying examination are eligible to apply.

Part 1: Registration

  1. Candidates can fill the online application form from the official website of NTA i.e. ntajnu.nic.in
  2. Click on ‘Apply Online’
  3. Fill the registration form to get Application Number.
  4. Candidates have to fill the credentials like
  •  Candidates Name
  • Date of birth
  • Email ID
  • Mobile Number, etc.
  1. After filling all the credentials click on ‘submit’
  2. After the successful submission of registration form candidate will get an registration number.

Part 2: Filling details in Application Form

Candidates have to fill the following details:

  • Educational details
  • Communicational details, etc.

Part 3: Fee Payment

  1. Candidates can make payment through the official website
  2. Login to the candidates portal with the help of login ID and Password

JNU CEEB 2021 Application Fee Payment

Candidates have to make application fee payment to completely submit the application form. Application form will not be submitted without application fee payment. Candidates can make Application fee payment online as well as offline. Candidates making payment via demand draft have to send it with application form through registered post/ speed post to the Section Officer.

Candidates can also pay application fee through following options:

  • Demand Draft in favor of the ‘National Testing Agency’ payable at New Delhi

General category and OBC candidates have to make payment of INR 340 for the Application form. Reserved Category candidates will get concession in fee payment. Reserved Category candidates have to make payment of INR 260 for the Application Form.

JNU CEEB 2021 Admit Card

Admit Card is an important document to be carried on the day of examination. Without the admit card entry in the examination hall will not be allowed. It act as an identity proof of the candidate. JNU CEEB 2021 Exam Center

Candidates can give their preference for exam center in the application form. Candidates can choose from the 54 exam center choices available. Information related to exam center will be present on admit card. Once the exam center is allotted to the candidate it will not be changes. No request will be accepted for the change of exam center. JNU CEEB 2021 Exam Pattern

JNU CEEB 2021 is conducted in offline mode. There are 2 parts in the question paper. Part 1 contains 60 questions of 60 marks. There is no negative marking. Part 1 checks the candidate’s knowledge of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

Part 2 contains 180 questions which should be completed in 3 hours. This section check the candidates understanding of Verbal and Reasoning ability and Comprehensive ability.

You need to qualify JNU CEEB 2021 exam to get admission in M.Sc course and as you have UG degree, you are eligible to apply. The minimum required aggregate to be eligible is 50% from a recognised board.  Candidates qualifying the entrance test needs to appear for the counselling process for final seat allotment.

Hi Simran, yes, JNU CEEB score is considered valid at the time of admission in M.Sc Biotechnology. Selection process consist of viva-voce (wherever prescribed). Application process will commence after the result of entrance examination is declared. Exam is scheduled to be held between May 27 and May 30, 2019 (tentatively).
