KARNATAKA PGCET (KEA) 2019 RESULT & COUNSELLING

Karnataka PGCET 2019 Results will be declared in the 1st week of August 2019 by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA). The test takers have to visit the official portal (www.kea.kar.nic.in) to check their results. Karnataka PGCET 2019 concluded on July 15, and the answer keys were released on July 18.
KEA releases the results in the form of merit list/ rank list, having names of all the PGCET qualifiers. The ranks are assigned separately for ME/ M.Tech/ M.Arch. Result sheets along with the correct answer keys are published on KEA website. The 1st Counselling round will begin from August 2019. Counselling will broadly consist of 5 steps- Online Registration, Document Verification, Filling of Preference form, Seat Allotment and Reporting to College.

The organizing body will publish the rank list in a PDF format. Karnataka PGCET 2019 result can be accessed online by following these few easy steps:
Step 1: Log on to the official website of KEA
Step 2: Select the option of ‘PGCET 2019’. Search for the link of ‘Karnataka PGCET 2019 Result’ and click on it.
Step 3: The result will appear in a new window in the form of a rank list.
Step 4: Search your name or roll number to view the result.
Step 5: Check the information such as name, roll number and addition of total marks given in the rank list.
Step 6: Download the result file and save it for reference.
Karnataka PGCET 2019 Answer key will be released within 3 days of conducting the exam by the authorities of the state. Students can use this answer key to estimate a rough score by cross-checking their answers with it. The key will help them to know if they will be eligible for further rounds of admission procedure.

In case two or more participants secure same marks, then the following criteria will be used to resolve ties in Karnataka PGCET 2019 and determine the merit position of the individuals in the descending order-
Karnataka PGCET 2019 Counselling will be held from the 1st week of August 2019 by KEA. The schedule for counselling will be uploaded on the official website of the exam authority. Students short-listed through the merit list must attend the counselling rounds according to this schedule, in order of merit. Karnataka PGCET 2019 Counselling will consist of 5 steps.

Step 1: Online Registration
Aspirants who will qualify Karnataka PGCET 2019 will be eligible for counselling. Candidates will have to report to the closest Helpline Center to register themselves.
Step 2: Verification of Documents
After registration, aspirants will have to proceed to the verification counter where they will have to submit original along with set photocopies of documents. Once the individual is deemed eligible he will be given a verification slip and a confidential key which will have login details about the online option form.
Step 3: Filling of Preference Form
Students must login using the details on the high-security key to fill the preference form. KEA will publish a list that will include number of participating colleges, courses offered and available seats. Candidate can fill the preference form by referring to this list according to the college and course they wish to pursue. They can apply for multiple colleges and courses provided they are eligible for the same.
Step 4: Seat Allotment
Applicants will be allotted seats as per ranks acquired in Karnataka PGCET 2019, preferences of college and course. The details regarding the procedure of seat allotment will be given in Karnataka PGCET 2019 brochure.
Step 5: Reporting to the allotted College
Candidates must report to the allotted college for completing all the admission formalities and payment of fees.
