NCERT Solutions for Class 7 Mathematics Chapter 12 Algebraic Expressions is given below

NCERT Solutions for Class 7 Mathematics
Algebraic Expression: Algebraic Expression is the combination of constants and variables connected by mathematical operators such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Eg: 5x + 3y = 2
Constants: Constants are terms whose value does not change.
Variables: Variables are terms whose value changes. These are represented in terms of alphabets.
| Example 1: Add 5x + 2y + 4 = 0 and 2x + 8y + 2 = 0 Ans. Adding (5x + 2y + 4 = 0) and (2x + 8y + 2 = 0) we get, 7x + 10y + 6 = 0 Example 2: Expand (6x +2)2 Ans. We know that, (a + b)2 = a2 + b2 + 2ab (6x + 2)2 = (6x)2 + 22 + 2. 6x . 2 = 36x2 +24x + 4 |
