Examples of Class 7 Chapter 12 Algebraic Expressions

Ques 1. Find the value of x from the algebraic expression 2x = 8.

Ans. To find the value of x, bring all the terms except x to the right side.

→ 2x = 8

→ x = 8/2

→ x = 4

Ques 2. In the algebraic expression 7y – 21=0, find the value of y.

Ans. To find the value of y, bring all the terms except y to the right side.

→ 7y - 21 = 0

→ 7y = 21

→ y = 21/3

→ y = 3
