Examples of Class 7 Chapter 12 Algebraic Expressions

Ques 1. Expand (2x+3)2

Ans. We know that,

(a + b)2 = a2 + 2ab + b2

Therefore,

(2x+3)2 = 4x2 + 12x + 9

Ques 2. Expand (2x– 32)

Ans. We know that,

(a + b) (a - b)= a2 – b2

Therefore,

(2x2 - 32) = (2x+3)(2x-3)
