NIMCET 2027 Eligibility Criteria

Nationality

Only Indian nationals can apply for NIMCET. There is no provision for foreign nationals or NRI candidates in the NIMCET admission process.

Qualifying Degree

You must have completed or be in the final year of one of the following undergraduate programmes:

• BCA (Bachelor of Computer Applications) — with Mathematics or Statistics as a subject in the curriculum
• B.Sc. (Computer Science / IT / Mathematics / Statistics / Electronics) — with Mathematics or Statistics as a compulsory or optional subject
• B.E. / B.Tech. — in any branch (Mathematics is part of the standard engineering curriculum)
• Any other UG degree of minimum 3 years duration with Mathematics or Statistics as one of the subjects

Candidates whose qualifying degree does not include Mathematics or Statistics as a subject are NOT eligible for NIMCET, regardless of their overall percentage or stream.

Minimum Marks in Qualifying Degree

The aggregate is calculated across all years or semesters of the qualifying degree. If your university uses a grade system, convert it using the official CGPA conversion formula mentioned in your university’s grading policy or ask your institution for the equivalent percentage.

Age Limit

There is no age limit for NIMCET 2027. Candidates of any age can apply as long as they meet the academic eligibility criteria above.

Appearing Candidates

If you are in the final year of your qualifying degree in 2026-27, you can also apply for NIMCET 2027. However, if you are allotted a seat, you must submit your final marksheet at the time of reporting to confirm admission.
