These fossil fuels cannot be regrown at a scale compared to their consumption. With the increasing demand for fossil fuels, energy is declining. It has been and is difficult to replace them. Hence, it is known as a non-renewable source of energy.

Ans. Fossil fuels are fuels made naturally from the decomposition of dead plants and animals. These natural fuels are found in the Earth's crust. The fuels contain carbon and hydrogen, which can further be burned for energy. 

Coal, natural gas, and crude oils are all considered fossil fuels because of their formation. They are all formed from the procedure of fossilizing. Fossil fuels have a high amount of carbon content and this is due to the process of formation. 

Uses of naturally occurring fossil fuels are to produce energy. At home, the energy is produced by burning these fossil fuels whereas at factories the energy is produced in the form of electricity.

• Petroleum - another name for petroleum is crude oil. Petroleum is formed from the ancient dead algae, bacteria and plants. 
• Natural Gas - the formation of natural gas is natural. These are formed in the deep earth’s crust with dead remains of plants and animals.
