AP PGECET 2026 Phase 1 Counselling Registration Deadline Extended to October 1; Check Revised Schedule

The Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) has extended the Andhra Pradesh Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (AP PGECET) 2026 Phase 1 counselling registration deadline to October 1, 2026. Candidates can complete the registration and fee payment on the Centralised Admission Processing (CAP) portal at cap.apcfss.in. The counselling is being conducted by Andhra University on behalf of APSCHE.

The revised schedule covers admissions to MTech, MPharmacy and PharmD programmes for the 2026-27 academic session. Candidates who have qualified in AP PGECET, GATE or GPAT are eligible to take part in this counselling round.

AP PGECET 2026 Phase 1 Counselling Revised Schedule

APSCHE has issued the full set of revised dates alongside the deadline extension. The key activities and their new timelines are listed below.

Who Is Eligible to Apply?

Candidates must be Indian nationals and must satisfy the local or non-local status rules of Andhra Pradesh. A relevant bachelor's degree with the prescribed minimum marks is mandatory for admission.

Only candidates with a valid rank in AP PGECET 2026, GATE or GPAT can take part in this round. Qualifying marks in the entrance test are a non-negotiable requirement.

Processing Fee for Counselling

Candidates must pay a non-refundable processing fee at the time of registration. The fee differs by category and is paid online through the CAP portal.

Payment is accepted through net banking, debit card, credit card and UPI. Candidates must save the payment receipt for later reference.

Documents Required at the Time of Registration

Candidates must upload scanned copies of the required documents during registration. All uploads must be clear and legible.

• AP PGECET, GATE or GPAT 2026 rank card and hall ticket
• Qualifying degree certificate and all semester marksheets
• Transfer certificate and study certificates from Class 9 to graduation
• Caste certificate and income certificate, where applicable
• Local or non-local status certificate as per Andhra Pradesh rules
• Aadhaar card and recent passport-size photograph

How to Register for AP PGECET 2026 Counselling?

Candidates must complete each step within the revised window to secure a chance at seat allotment. The process runs entirely online on the CAP portal.

1. Visit the official portal at cap.apcfss.in.
2. Click on the AP PGECET 2026 counselling registration link.
3. Pay the applicable processing fee based on your category.
4. Fill in personal, academic and category details on the form.
5. Upload the required certificates for online verification.
6. Submit the form and download the acknowledgement for records.

Action Plan for Candidates

1. Visit cap.apcfss.in and complete registration before October 1, 2026.
2. Keep your rank card, degree certificate and category proofs ready in soft copy.
3. Pay the processing fee online using net banking, card or UPI.
4. Wait for online certificate verification by October 3, 2026.
5. Exercise web options between September 23 and October 4, 2026.
6. Use the change-of-options day on October 5 to lock your final preferences.
