IIM Trichy PGPBM 2027-29 Admissions Open; Check Last Date to Apply

The Indian Institute of Management Tiruchirappalli (IIM Trichy) has opened PGPBM admissions for the 2027-29 batch. Candidates can submit online applications at pgpbm.iimtrichy.ac.in till January 31, 2027.

The programme is the Post Graduate Programme in Business Management (PGPBM). The non-refundable application fee is Rs 2,000 for general candidates. The fee for SC, ST, and PWD applicants is Rs 1,000.

PGPBM is a 21-month weekend MBA programme for working professionals. Classes are conducted on Saturdays and Sundays at the Chennai campus. Successful candidates receive an MBA degree from IIM Tiruchirappalli.

Who Is Eligible to Apply?

The eligibility rules follow IIM Trichy's admission criteria. Candidates must meet both academic and work experience requirements.

• A Bachelor's degree with at least 50 percent marks is required.
• SC, ST, and PWD candidates need 45 percent marks.
• CA, CS, ICWA, or FIAI equivalent qualifications are also accepted.
• Candidates must have at least three years of full-time work experience.
• Work experience is counted after completion of the first Bachelor's degree.
• The three-year experience requirement is calculated as of the application deadline.

IIM Trichy PGPBM Fee Structure

The total programme fee is Rs 14,50,000 and is non-refundable. Candidates must also pay a separate refundable deposit of Rs 10,000.

The first installment of Rs 2,50,000 is payable at the time of admission. The remaining Rs 12,00,000 is divided into six quarterly installments. Each quarterly installment is Rs 2,00,000.

What Is the Selection Process?

The selection process includes three stages after the online application. Shortlisted candidates must appear at the Chennai campus for the subsequent rounds.

Stage one is an aptitude test or score-based exemption. Candidates with valid CAT, GMAT, or GRE scores can skip the aptitude test. The aptitude test is conducted for 60 minutes. Stage two consists of a personal interview at the Chennai campus. Final selection considers multiple components for holistic evaluation.
