CBSE Students plead to SC for Extension of Last Date for College Admissions

The All India Students Association (AISA) has approached the Supreme Court via tweets expressing students’ concerns regarding last dates of college admissions. 

A lot of students studying under the CBSE Board have pleaded to the SC for extending the last dates for college admissions. According to the current guidelines, August 31, 2020, is the last date for admission for a majority of colleges and universities. 

The students have requested the Supreme Court through AISA to appeal for the extension. The compartment results for CBSE examinations are yet to be released and students awaiting the compartment exams and results are worried about admission to colleges.

The plea asks the Supreme Court to extend the last day for admission to after the CBSE Compartment results have been declared. 

For now the CBSE Compartment exams are still pending. Several students aspiring to apply for admission to colleges have been worried due to the currently scheduled last day of admission. They are worried that they might be left behind this year due to the same reason. 

CBSE has notified that the compartment exams will be conducted. However the exam schedule is yet to be declared.
