Chandigarh University held its annual convocation of the 2023 batch on June 9 in which over 1400 students were awarded undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD degrees.

New Delhi: Chandigarh University celebrated its Annual Convocation for the 2023 batch on June 9. A total of 1400 students were awarded UG, PG, and Ph.d. degrees.

In the annual convocation of Chandigarh University, there are about 45% of the total degree recipients were women. Around 22 out of 35 have received the gold medals and 21 girls out of the total 35 have received their doctorate degrees.

The chief guest for the occasion was former President Ram Nath Kovind awarded the degrees and Gold Medals to the achievers. Satnam Singh Sandhu, Chandigarh University Chancellor, Dr. (Prof.) R S Bawa, Pro-Chancellor Chandigarh University; and Dr. Manpreet Singh Manna, Vice Chancellor Chandigarh University, were the other dignitaries present in the occasion.

Former President Ram Nath Kovind has stated that Chandigarh University has set new benchmarks of quality higher education by featuring among the World’s Top Universities.

“Chandigarh University has built a good reputation as one of the premier institutions of India within a short span of 11 years, owing to which it has been ranked among the Top Universities of the World. Through the years, the university has been a hub of research and innovation by inculcating the spirit to participate, indulge, and innovate among its students,” said the former president about CU.

Satnam Singh Sandhu the Chancellor of Chnadigarh University has congratulated all the degree holders for their success. The chancellor mentioned that the convocation holds significant importance for students and also marks a momentous milestone in the academic journey of students.

He added, “As the students graduating today step into the new phase of professionalism, it is expected from them that they realize their responsibility as the youth of the nation and contribute to its development. India is a nation where no matter what background you come from, you can reach the top positions of the country through your hard work and determination.”

The convocation was not just a culmination, but it's actually the new beginning for the 2023 batch of students who will set forth to make their mark on the world.
