The Consortium of NLUs will hold CLAT 2027 on December 6 2026 from 2 pm to 4 pm. Registration opens on August 3 2026 at consortiumofnlus.ac.in and closes on October 31 2026. The exam pattern and syllabus stay unchanged.

The Consortium of National Law Universities (Consortium of NLUs) has released the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2027 schedule on the official portal at consortiumofnlus.ac.in. CLAT 2027 will be held on December 6, 2026. The examination will be conducted from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

The CLAT 2027 registration process will begin on August 3, 2026, and close on October 31, 2026. The exam pattern and syllabus will remain unchanged for CLAT 2027. The entrance examination will be conducted in offline, pen-and-paper mode.

CLAT 2027 Exam Pattern

The Consortium has retained the existing examination structure for both CLAT UG and CLAT PG.

The CLAT UG 2027 question paper will contain 120 multiple-choice questions. The examination will be conducted for two hours and will carry a total of 120 marks.

Candidates will receive one mark for every correct answer. A negative marking of 0.25 marks will be applied for every incorrect response.

The CLAT PG 2027 paper will also contain 120 objective-type questions and will follow the same marking scheme.

Who Is Eligible to Apply for CLAT 2027?

CLAT UG 2027 Eligibility

CLAT UG 2027 is open to candidates who have passed Class 12 or an equivalent examination. Students appearing for their Class 12 board examinations in 2027 are also eligible to apply.

There is no upper age limit for appearing in the CLAT UG examination.

CLAT PG 2027 Eligibility

CLAT PG 2027 is open to candidates who have completed an LL.B. degree. Students studying in the final year of their LL.B. programme may also register for the examination.

The CLAT 2027 application fee is non-refundable. Candidates must pay the fee through the online payment facility available on the official CLAT portal.
