India's Vice President, Venkaiah Naidu has suggested officials at the University of Delhi to continue the quota process for offering admission to the talented artists with the current Extra Curricular Activities (ECA).

The vice president's suggestion came after numerous requests from artists and Members of Parliament for it poured in.
It should be noted that earlier with the release of the official notification for DU admissions 2020, DU officials had announced that due to the unprecedented situation of the COVID -19 pandemic, this year there will be no trails for admission to the ECA or sports quota and only candidates with NCC and NSS certificates will be offered under the ECA quota admissions.
Naidu (who is also DU Chancellor) made those comments during a meeting with the University of Delhi's Pro-Vice Chancellor & Dean Colleges.
In addition, the Vice President also asked the varsity authorities to take "prompt action" to finalize the examination calendar and fill the DU vacancies.
