Himachal Pradesh Educational Institutions Slammed Down After Hike in COVID-19 Cases

The Government of Himachal Pradesh decided to close all the educational institutions from November 11 - 25, 2020 due to an upsurge in COVID-19 cases. 

The Parliamentary Affairs minister, Suresh Bhardwaj informed that the decision to close Himachal Pradesh educational institutions from November 11 to November 25 was taken during the meeting on November 10, 2020.

The minister stated that special vacation will be provided to all the students, teaching and non-teaching staff of all private and government schools, colleges, coaching institutes, engineering colleges, ITIs, polytechnics from November 11 to November 25.

Himachal Pradesh educational institutions were offered special vacation considering the current situation of the ongoing COVID 19 pandemic.

The schools, colleges and Himachal Pradesh educational institutions were locked since March because of the Nationwide lockdown and were reopened recently.

The State Cabinet had also decided to request the Governor of Himachal Pradesh to conduct the State Assembly winter session from December 7-11, 2020 in Dharamshala.

The governor of Himachal Pradesh has agreed to organize the next Janmanch on December 5, 2020.

The cabinet was also decisive in filling up 220 posts of pharmacists on a contract basis, stated the minister.
