The Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISER) have released the Round 6 seat allotment result for the IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) 2026 on the official portal at iiseradmission.in. The result was declared on August 28, 2026. Allotted candidates must complete their seat acceptance formalities by August 30, 2026.
Candidates can log in using their application number and password to view the allotted institute and programme. They must then submit their willingness choice and pay the Seat Acceptance Fee (SAF) online. The last date to report to the allotted institute is also August 30, 2026.

Allotted candidates can view their result by following these steps on the official portal.
- Visit the official portal at iiseradmission.in.
- Click on the candidate login link for IAT 2026 counselling.
- Enter your application number and password.
- View the allotted institute and programme on the dashboard.
- Download the provisional allotment letter for future reference.
How to Accept the Allotted Seat?
Candidates must choose one of three willingness options before paying the fee. Each choice affects further participation in the counselling process.
- Freeze: Confirm the current seat and exit further rounds.
- Float: Accept the current seat but stay open to an upgrade.
- Withdraw: Reject the seat and exit the counselling process.
After selecting a choice, candidates must pay the fee through net banking, debit card, credit card, or UPI. Both actions must be completed by August 30, 2026.
Round 6 is one of the last chances for candidates to secure a BS-MS seat at an IISER. Seats vacated after this round may still open in later rounds. Choosing the float option keeps a candidate active for a possible upgrade.
