Maharashtra FYJC Class 11 Admission 2020: Slow Verification Leads to Delay in Admission Process

Fewer number of verified forms compared to the total number of students registered on the centralized portal of the First Year Junior College (FYJC) admissions, forced the director of secondary and higher secondary education to write to the Deputy Director of Education to clear the pendency quickly.

In Pune, for example, of approximately 91,000 students, only 58,000 were registered by Tuesday night.

The letter also stated that students of other Boards should ensure that marks are correctly converted and that students lock the form in order to continue processing after completing all the details.

"We need to start the process of filling out Part 2 of the form and it is, therefore, necessary that the process of filling out Part 1 has been completed.

It has come to our notice that, although many forms have not been submitted/locked by students, there are only pending forms for verification at the respective school guidance centres.

We need to start the process of filling out the option forms as well as the quota admissions. In order to do this, the outstanding work must be cleared as soon as possible, "said Dinkar Patil, director of secondary and higher education.

Students of boards other than the Maharashtra State Board shall, at the end of the FYJC admission process, manually enter their standard X marks after entering their seat number.

The data of other board students will not be filled automatically, as happens with the State Board of Students, because the data of such students is not available to the Centralized Admission Process Committee.

Patil said, however, that many forms from other boards were sent back online to the student's login due to incorrect filling of the marks.

"According to the Government resolutions of 29 June 2019, students on the ICSE Board must either give their marks out of a total of 700 marks or choose the best five subjects and then fill in the marks. But, a lot of students are filling marks out of 600, because of which the forms are not verified. Even CBSE students need to fill their marks out of 500, not 600. Students need to upload all documents supporting these claims, lock them again, and then wait for the form to be verified, "Patil said.

Some forms of repeater candidates were also sent back due to lack of data. "Marks of certain subjects have not been uploaded to some repeat students by the State Board, so the forms have also been sent back. These students need to check and then fill in the data manually and re-lock the verification forms, "Patil added.

Maharashtra FYJC Class 11 Admission 2020: Read Full Details 

Maharashtra government is all set to start the Maharasthra 11th Admission 2020 process from tomorrow onwards, i.e. August 12, 2020.

First-year junior college aspirants who got their Mah SSC Result 2020 can start filling up Part II of their online admission forms from August 12, 2020.

Interested students have to visit the official portal of 11thadmission.org.in to apply. Students must know that the first merit list would be released at 3 pm on August 30, 2020.

The merit list would be released for admission to more than 830 colleges in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. The detailed schedule was announced on Monday, i.e. August 10, 2020 by the school education department of the state for the first round of centralized FYJC admissions.

Students who have already completed and verified Part I of the admission form may select the colleges to which they wish to apply in Part II.

The procedure for filling out the form for Part II would be completed by 11 a.m. on August 22, 2020. Fresh applicants can fill both Part I and Part II forms together.

On August 23, 2020 the education department will announce the provisional merit list and students can then use the objection and correction option if there are any errors in detail on the list until 5 p.m. on August 25, 2020. Please check the complete schedule below.

Maharashtra FYJC Class 11 Admission 2020: Complete Schedule

The state government launched a dedicated Class 11 online portal in July 2020. Admission through this portal would be made to six areas under the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority. The districts are Pune, Aurangabad, Amravati, Mumbai, Nashik and Nagpur. Over 2.5 lakh students have registered for the MMR process until Monday night, out of which 1,8 lakh students have verified the form.

According to media reports, students applying to colleges under management, minority and in-house quotas will have to fill out Part I and Part II of the admission form and submit a scanned copy to the respective junior college.
