MCC NEET SS 2025 Special Stray Round Registration and Choice Filling Extended; Check Now

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has extended the registration, payment, choice filling and choice locking deadlines for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Super Speciality (NEET SS) 2025 Special Stray Vacancy Round. The revised schedule was issued through an official notice dated September 29, 2026. Eligible candidates can access the updated counselling timeline on the official portal at mcc.nic.in.

The Special Stray Vacancy Round is being conducted in compliance with a Supreme Court order dated September 17, 2026. The qualifying percentile for NEET SS 2025 was reduced from the 50th percentile to the 30th percentile under the order. The round covers vacant seats in DM, MCh and DNB Super Speciality courses.

NEET SS 2025 Special Stray Round Revised Schedule

Candidates participating in the Special Stray Vacancy Round must complete all counselling activities within the revised deadlines announced by MCC.

Candidates should complete registration and payment on September 29 itself and avoid waiting until the final minutes. Those who successfully register can continue with choice filling and locking until September 30, 2026.

Who Is Eligible for the Special Stray Round?

The NEET SS 2025 Special Stray Vacancy Round is open only to candidates who meet the eligibility conditions prescribed by MCC. The candidate must have qualified NEET SS 2025 under the revised 30th percentile cut-off.

The candidate must not be holding any seat allotted through earlier MCC counselling rounds. The candidate must not be holding any seat allotted through a State counselling process. Only vacant DM, MCh and DNB Super Speciality seats reported by participating institutes are available in this round.

How to Register for the NEET SS Special Stray Round?

Candidates who want to participate in the extended counselling round can complete the process through the MCC portal.

• Visit the official MCC website at mcc.nic.in.
• Open the NEET SS 2025 Special Stray Vacancy Round registration link.
• Complete new registration using NEET SS 2025 credentials before 5:00 PM on September 29, 2026.
• Pay the applicable registration fee and security deposit before 7:00 PM on September 29, 2026.
• Complete choice filling before 12:00 Noon on September 30, 2026.
• Lock the submitted choices between 8:00 PM on September 29 and 12:00 Noon on September 30, 2026.
• Download and save the confirmation page and locked choices for future reference.

Candidates are advised to complete the process well before the respective deadlines to avoid payment failures, login issues or last-minute technical problems.
