The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) has released the Round 2 seat allotment result on the official counselling portal at nift.admissions.nic.in. Allotted candidates must confirm the seat by July 9, 2026. Willingness submission and fee payment are both mandatory steps.
The Round 2 result covers three counselling streams this year. These include NIFT UG Counselling, NIFT UG Lateral Counselling, and NIFT PG Counselling. Candidates log in with the application number and password used at registration.

How to Check the NIFT Round 2 Seat Allotment Result?
The portal accepts credentials created during the NIFT 2026 registration stage. Follow the steps below to view the allotted campus and programme.
- Visit nift.admissions.nic.in on any browser.
- Click on the Round 2 seat allotment login link.
- Enter your application number and password to sign in.
- The allotted campus and programme appear on the screen.
- Download the allotment letter and save a copy.
What Are the Willingness Options After Allotment?
Allotted candidates must record a willingness option before paying the fee. The three choices decide how the seat behaves later.
- Freeze: Accept the allotted seat permanently. No further upgrade is sought.
- Float: Accept the seat while keeping hope for a higher-preference campus or programme.
- Slide: Accept the seat and seek an upgrade within the same NIFT institute.
Freeze candidates from Round 1 could not modify preferences before Round 2. Only Float and Slide candidates could edit choices in the modification window.
How to Pay the NIFT Seat Acceptance Fee?
The seat acceptance fee must be paid online through the counselling portal. The payment window shuts on July 9, 2026.
- Log in to nift.admissions.nic.in using your credentials.
- Open the fee payment tab under the Round 2 dashboard.
- Select the willingness option before you proceed to pay.
- Pay through net banking, debit card, credit card, or UPI.
- Download the payment receipt for future admission steps.
Missing the July 9 deadline has serious consequences. The allotted seat gets cancelled by NIFT on its own. The candidate also loses the right to join further counselling rounds this year.
