NIT Delhi will hold the M.Tech Self-Financed Spot Admission for the 2026-27 academic session on August 6, 2026. Candidates seeking admission against vacant seats must report to the campus with documents on the notified date.

The National Institute of Technology Delhi (NIT Delhi) has released a spot admission notice for the M.Tech Self-Financed Scheme (SFS) Spot Admission Round. The round will be held on August 6, 2026. The official notice is available on the institute portal at nitdelhi.ac.in.

The spot round is being conducted to fill vacant seats in the M.Tech SFS programme. It follows the main admission cycle, which opened on April 15, 2026. The registration window closed on May 29, 2026. A GATE 2026 score is not mandatory for admission to the M.Tech SFS programme.

Who Is Eligible to Apply for the Spot Round?

Candidates holding a B.E. or B.Tech degree are eligible to apply. Candidates with an M.Sc. or MCA in Mathematics or Computing are also eligible.

The programme-specific eligibility requirements are mentioned in the official admission brochure.

Both fresh candidates and previously registered candidates can participate in the spot admission round. However, all applicants must meet the qualifying degree requirements prescribed by NIT Delhi.

How to Participate in the Spot Admission Round?
