Objectives of NEP 2020 to be initiated into action through National Curriculum Framework: CBSE

The main objective of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which has been drafted with incorporation of different ideas and has provided freedom to accumulate different concepts, will be translated into action through the National Curriculum Framework, said CBSE Director.

CBSE Director Biswajit Saha made this statement during an e-conclave on NEP 2020 organised by PhD Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Mr. Biswajit Saha said, “The execution of the National Curriculum Framework will be a challenging task for the system and it can only be achieved successfully by participatory approach.”

He also added that the NCF will provide the roadmap for the whole process of implementation of the new reforms and can be achieved with progressive participation of the stakeholders.

Adding to this he also said that the initial phases of the reforms will face some difficulties but we can assure that the new beginning of the advanced concepts will give fruitful results if implemented perfectly.

The NEP 2020 replaces the 34 year old National Education Policy framed in 1986 and it aims at building advance reforms in school as well as in the higher education system to make India a Global Superpower.

Earlier, UGC called on Universities to Raise Awareness Among Students and Teachers about NEP and has asked to take primitive steps to elaborate the concept of NEP 2020 to the students, teachers as well as to the parents.
