The Odisha Joint Entrance Examination Board has extended the Round 1 choice filling deadline for NEET UG Counselling 2026 and issued a revised schedule at ojee.nic.in. Merit-listed candidates must edit and lock choices before the new cutoff.

The Odisha Joint Entrance Examination Board (OJEEB) has extended the Round 1 choice filling deadline for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) Counselling 2026. A revised schedule has been issued through a fresh notice on the official portal at ojee.nic.in. State merit-listed candidates now get additional time to edit and lock their preferred colleges and courses.
The extension follows recent schedule revisions announced by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) for the 15 percent All India Quota. OJEEB has aligned its state quota timeline to avoid clashes for candidates active in both counselling streams. The Round 1 process covers MBBS and BDS seats under the Odisha state quota.
Odisha NEET UG 2026 Round 1 Revised Counselling Schedule
The current Round 1 offers a total of 2,009 seats across government and private medical and dental colleges. The distribution between MBBS and BDS remains unchanged in the revised notice.

How to Fill and Lock Choices on ojee.nic.in?
The choice filling window is the most critical step in the counselling process. The system will treat the last saved and locked preferences as final. Candidates should follow the steps listed below.
- Visit the official OJEE portal at ojee.nic.in.
- Click on the NEET UG 2026 Counselling Round 1 login link.
- Enter your NEET UG application number and password to sign in.
- Open the Choice Filling tab from the candidate dashboard.
- Select preferred colleges and courses in your order of choice.
- Review the saved list carefully before locking your choices.
- Click on Lock Choices and download the confirmation slip.
Choices left unlocked will be auto-locked at the close of the extended window. Once locked, no changes are allowed for Round 1.
Who Is Eligible to Take Part in Round 1?
Only candidates who appear in the final state merit list can fill choices. This list was published on August 14, 2026 at 5:00 PM. Candidates must also have completed OJEE registration and document verification for the state quota.
Documents to Keep Ready
- NEET UG 2026 admit card and scorecard
- Class 10 and Class 12 mark sheets and certificates
- Odisha residence or nativity certificate
- Category certificate, if applicable
- Valid government photo identity proof
The extra window helps candidates who also joined the MCC All India Quota round. They can now compare probable allotments in both streams before locking state preferences.
