4.5

Its actually good. It provides major courses like- B.sc Nautical science, B.E Marine Engineering and Naval Architecture along with many more courses on the list. Talking about the college its good at placement. Last 3 years have been 80-90% placement for cadets. It has a nice environment. It has good faculty and good classroom.

They have the best placement record compared to other maritime universities. Every people will be an adventurer in his own mind but taking on an adventure of your own and getting paid for It is the next best time. Being a marine engineer you will be able to set sail on the oceans of the world. To fulfill this dream you must have will need the best ever university to prepare you and that where AMET comes in it is the oldest university in India and the only one to be accepted in the International Association of maritime universities.

College Events

4.5

Events such sports, arts and various festivals like onam, diwali are celebrated here. The class rooms are spacious and some are air conditioned. The grounds are huge and have separate fields for all sports so if you are interested in sports it is definitely a plus.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Its feasible. AMET University has the Industry best simulation systems to provide the students with first-hand experience of what’s ahead in their journey. The chief engineers at AMET both the technical and real world experiences being ex-seamen provide the best knowledgeable guidance for the students.

Fees and Financial Aid

3 or 4 types of scholarships are available. Many large companies take part in campus drive to recruit the cadets but it mostly depends on our individual skillset and ability. In every campus drive more than 60% of the students are place and if you are left out they also provides an another chance with other companies that will be visiting until the end of the year.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Hotel is good. Good food and good room. They are equipped with the best range of training and simulation labs to give the same experience of a seafarer to give you first hands-on experience of your journeys ahead. The classrooms are not the only place to have fun while learning the campus also holds separate grounds for most sports to allow students to refresh themselves. The accommodation facilities are also well maintained and are separated for boys and girls.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes seniors are really helpful. The faculty could easily be the one thing that defines the standard of the university to both the students and teachers, The chief engineers at AMET both the technical and real world experiences being ex-seamen provide the best knowledgeable guidance for the students.

Admission

Getting admission is actually simple. First I wrote an entrance exam, after that a medical test was conducted at amet university Chennai. Classes started in August. AMET University academic programs date is send to all student also its website, but many time it academic programs date are change. This university administration is good and very helpful for students, but some time this administration ignore students problems. This university taken more time for result declare. some time, this University’s staff have not any information about inquiry.

Placement Experience:

From the very entry into your third year, you will be eligible to most of the placements. The training provided is very exquisite and some of the trainings start as early as 1st year. 2026 highest package was 55LPA. Many companies like from product companies like Microsoft, Capgemini to service based companies like TCS, INFOSYS etc.. visit our campus for regular placements. About 98% of people placed as far as I have heard.
