Remarks
I feel there is a lot of potential in my college. The extra curricular activities, Sports, infrastructure, Labs, hostels everything is top notch. Not to forget the placements which is the main thing and we have a very good campusing every year.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is upto the mark with the current industry background. There are 8 semesters throughout 4 years, 2 semesters in a year. There are 2 main exams namely the mid term and the end term per semester.
Placement Experience
Placements are one of the many things that is reknowed for our college. Students choose this college over others as our campusing is pretty good than many. Apart from the IT companies many core company also come. Giants like Microsoft and Nissan also comes. We have many internship camps throughout the year where you can register and apply. Stipend varies with min 4k a month.
College Events
The campus life is just awesome over here. The have cultural and technical events throughout the year. Something or the other keeps on happening. Our main fest KIITFEST is one of the most renowned fests in the Eastern India.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is a bit high than regular colleges. In the year 2017 when I got into the college it took me a total of 16 lacs for the entire 4 years including mess fees and hostel fees. The institution fees alone in 12 lacs for 4 years.
Fees and Financial Aid
There is scholarship offered by the college. Every topper from each branch gets a stipend around 5k every month. Loan isn't provided by our college but a lot of organizations and private banks are ready to offer loans if needed.
Campus Life
The extracurricular activities, sports etc are pretty good. There is a vast amount of scope if one wants to succeed in these fields. We have all kinds of stadiums for every sport. Labs are perfectly up to dated with all the important equipments and are neat and clean.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel infrastructure facilities are really good. They come with a variety of options where you can opt for AC or non AC rooms. There is a option to choose from 3 bedded, 2 bedded or single bedrooms. The mess is clean and the food is good, the washroom is clean which is most important.
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni network of our college is very strong. There are a lot of students who are still connected with their Alma matter and are very helpful towards the juniors. Some of them still visit the college and meet the juniors and teachers when they get time.
Admission
To get admission in the college you have to pass the college entrance exam known as kiitee. After giving the exam if you get selected you also have to have minimum 60% marks in 12th overall as well as in pcb/pcm
Faculty
I have a mixed feeling about this. Some teachers are really good and understanding whereas some are really bothering and annoying. All of them are well qualified though (from IITs and NITs). But I wouldn't blame this on the college as every college has some teachers whom the students dont like at all.
