Placement Experience :

Students are eligible for it for placements from the end of the 6th semester. Numerous companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Delloite, VM Ware, Adobe, etc. visits KIIT every year. The highest package in 2020 was 30 LPA by Amazon. the average package was 4.2 lacs. KIIT offers 100% placements to its students. I have plans to sit for placements after completing my degree in KIIT.

Remarks :

As I knew some of the seniors from my locality, who had passed out from this college with good results and placements. Also, due to the decent rank, I was getting my favourable subject here, i.e., CSE, which made me feel that this college would be the best choice. The exam was conducted online on 28th July 2020. The results were declared within 2 days. Following which were the counselling and the admission process.

Placement Experience :

Placement is good, not hr best but are good. It is always said if you have more than 8 CGPA you are good to go. The HR team is good and the placements and the company visited are nice. If you have a good CGPA you will be able to sit in max. No. of interview.

Remarks :

It's a good college if you don't have issue of money as it is expensive but worth it also the facilities are good teacher are good internships are good offered and as heard from the senior if you have more than 8 cgpa then you are eligible to sit in most of the interview including mncs so maintaining the cgpa is important many societies are their which function nicely if you are interested in extra curricular they will help a lot. The campus is beautiful and maintained and the environment is friendly seniors are nice and people are interactive enough. Hostels are nice also. The only aspect which you should thing is the fees as it is high as compared to other institutions other than that it is a good college in my view. The average package is around 6.5 or 7 which is good placements are good and the management is also cooperative.

Placement Experience :

The placements are one of the things an aspirant looks for before entering a college. KIIT provides decent placements. They show 100% placements, which is true. In 2019, the highest package offered was 39 LPA, whereas, in 2020, it was 30 LPA. Usually, the average package is 6 LPA, but the median package is more than 7 LPA. We need to see that the number of students is very high. The average package is 6 LPA. So, college is good at placements.

Remarks :

Kiit is known for its campus placement and it's a beautiful campus. Kiit has one of the largest campuses in India. It is known for its 100% placement and it is true. You just need to be a bit sincere to get placed in a reputed company. Application is done through the KIITEE entrance exam and the registration starts around November and goes on till march April.

Placement Experience :

From the final year that is 4th year the campus placement starts. Cognizant, Wipro, TCS, Infosys and Capgemini were among tech companies and business companies including startups such as unschool, climber and planet spark.

Remarks :

Good thing is that KIIT has a huge campus extension and a very kind livelihood as well. The decorum is well maintained there and the campus infrastructure is just mesmerizing. And the bad thing is that when you are in the first year and a female student you ought to suffer a bit in hostel timings and also in your attire which is all total a traditional and outdated one, salwar suit with dupatta and you have to wear it for 1st year. And you will not be allowed to step outside as well for buying any basic necessities. There will be a person, a male member popularly known as "bhaina" who will buy you everything written on paper in the hostel itself. And you will not be allowed to go outside. College timings are from 8 to 6. The entry time from college to the hostel is at sharp at 6 pm. The admission process is through kiit entrance exam "KIITEEE" and you will necessary updates through your reg mail id.

From the 7th-semester students become eligible for campus placement. many companies visit the campus such as TCS, Infosys, Wipro, BYJUs, Extramarks, Amazon, Deloitte, ArcelorMittal and Nippon Steel, etc. The highest package is 40lacs CTC, the average is 3.5lacs CTC. Almost every student gets placed. My plan is to do a job in an MNC after doing the degree.

Remarks :

A well-renowned college in India as well as abroad. A very young university with a very good NIRF ranking. It has excellent infrastructure. well furnished laboratories. The best part is all the students are provided with an excellent laptop. Laptop features are all top of the line, highlighting few features such as the touchscreen, 360 degrees foldable, stylus, windows 10, dedicated graphics card, etc. All the professors are very friendly. Another important thing that I liked the most is irrespective of any branch you study, you are always welcome to learn any programming language and execute some project related to it.

After the 7th semester, students sits for placements. Companies like Deloitte, Wipro, TCS, Capgemini, and many other companies visit Kiit. Min. Package 4lacs and 80% of students get a package above 10lacs.p.a. My plan after btech is to study MTech.

Remarks :

KIIT is good in terms of placement and co-curricular activities. They take good care of their residential students. KIIT gives big opportunities to each and every one. Campus life is also very good. No type of raging is there in this university. Kiit is a very disciplined student-friendly University. And it is the most beautiful greenery campus I have ever seen in my life. There is nothing bad aspect of KIIT. But some times the excessively hot weather of the city makes everyone feel dull but glad that the whole campus is air-conditioned. Now about the admission process, the admission forms are available on the official site. After the submission of the form, a mail will be received which would notify about the date of the entrance exam. Then, rank wise they will conduct counseling (where students can choose their own branch). Kiit is highly preferred because of placements. It is a deemed college.

Placement Experience :

As per my 1 year of experience at the college, I can tell that many reputed companies visit our university for recruiting BBA graduates. But the pay scale they offer is not up to the mark. An average of 6-7 LPA is offered to an able graduate from commerce and management field.

Remarks :

KIIT University provides excellent education along with all-round development of an individual. Apart from the regular studies, it gives great importance to Industry-related activities. We get to interact with legend Industrialists very often. The only thing I don't like about college is that it doesn't offer lucrative placement offers. The admission process starts after the declaration of 12th class results by major educational bodies. We are supposed to apply online before the due date and appear for the online entrance exam. Our marks in 12th along with marks in entrance exam decides the rank in the university. Its application is free so it receives so many applications. One can find solutions regarding their college admission process on the website of the university as well as various groups on Facebook.

Ques. Is Amity University, Noida a better option than KIIT, Bhubaneswar for a B.Tech?

● Top Answer By Keshav Jindal on 17 Apr 21

Ans. You should definitely not join Amity University at all. A friend of mine decided to take admission there and is now highly regretting it. As far as fees are concerned, KIIT is a little more expensive as compared to Amity. At KIIT you can expect to pay around INR 4.29 lakhs for the first year whereas, at Amity Noida, you will pay close to INR 3.11 lakhs for the first year. When you get into KIIT, you will realize that you are paying for every single thing that you will do.  As far as the quality of education is concerned, it is the guidance of the teachers and professors that will steer you in the direction of your goals. But Amity does not have good faculty and you will probably not get good research exposure either. KIIT would be better here. Infrastructure-wise, both colleges are about the same. However, the hostel and food facilities at KIIT are not that good.  But, when it comes to the sports facilities, these are extremely well developed and you will also have a lot of fun with the extracurricular activities that are carried out in college. You will gain exposure to a lot of new things through societies like quiz, literary, photography, social responsibility cell, and RON.  As far as placements are concerned, you shoukd maintain a good CGPA so you will definitely get placed at one of the campus drives that happen every year at KIIT.  Both colleges offer a high CTC of INR 30 LPA, but on average pay scale-wise, KIIT is better with an average of INR 6 LPA as compared to Amity which offers just INR 4 LPA. In my opinion, if you are joining a private university, always look at the placements as this will give you a better idea about the college. In this case, KIIT is better than Amity. Hope this helps.Read more

Ques. Should I take CSE in KIIT or IEM, Kolkata?

● Top Answer By Deepika Kunwar on 22 Mar 21

Ans. IEM and KIIT both are good options for CSE. Given below are a few of the aspects of the institute which can help you in making the right choice.  Comparison:  IEM has established quite a reputation for CSE and rightly so.  The faculties for CSE are quite great. The CSE department also has an extensive alumni base.  However, there is not much to the campus life at IEM. If you want to bunk the class, the only place you can go in the library. On the other hand, KIIT offers a better campus life.  The placement record for IEM and KIIT is quite similar. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys visit both campuses. If after the completion of 4 years, you get placed in TCS, investing a lump sum at KIIT is not worth it.  If you go for IEM, you can stay in Kolkata and prepare for various examinations like GATE, CAT, etc. Also, IEM is more affordable. So, choose accordingly.Read more

Ques. Which is better for a B.Tech, KIIT or BIT Sindri?

● Top Answer By Nikhil Raj on 16 Feb 21

Ans. Among the institutes mentioned in the question, BIT Sindri is better for BTech. Discussed below are some reasons for preferring BIT Sindri. Comparison: (Winning Institute - BIT Sindri) Economical: BIT colleges come under the state government, and the course fees are reasonable. You have to pay twice the fees in other colleges.  Reputation: BIT Sindri has a good reputation, not only at the national level but also globally. Environment: BIT has a good student environment. It lacks good infrastructure, but the overall environment for the study is apt. Its campus is spread in 450 acres, having several facilities on it. The campus is also being renovated with modern labs. Faculty: BIT Sindri has skilled faculty members. New faculties are being recruited via SSC. Average Salary Package: At BIT and KIIT the average CTC offered to the students in recent times is similar.  Many students from BIT Sindri scored great ranks in GATE in the past. BIT Sindri and KIIT are both well-known colleges for B.Tech. In the table below you can compare both colleges. Category KIIT BIT Fees INR 16.20 lakhs INR 2.95 lakhs Average Package INR 6.5 LPA INR 4.51 LPA Highest Package INR 30 LPA INR 10.12 LPA Top Recruiters Accenture, Aditya Birla, Amazon, Bajaj Auto, Ambuja Cement TCS, TATA Steel, TATA Hitachi, Minex, Vedanta, L&T Overall, BIT Sindri is a good institute to opt for B tech. Along with skilled faculty, it also provides good placement. So for BTech, you should definitely choose BIT Sindri. Read more

Ques. What's the present scenario of placements in KIIT?

● Top Answer By Admin on 02 Feb 21

Ans. The placement scenario at KIIT exceeds expectations. It is considered to be one of the eminent universities in India. It is ranked 44 overall by NIRF 2020. The table below gives a brief insight on placements: Category KIIT Total Fee Per Year 20 lakhs Companies Visited Adobe, Accenture, Aditya Birla, Byju’s, etc. Highest Salary Package 39 lakhs Average Salary Package 6 LPA Hostel fee 21,000 More than 90 companies participated in the placement program offering 3500 jobs. Approximately 2000 students got placed in reputed companies. Day 0, Day 1, Day 2 are when the companies arrive. It is expected that better companies come at the beginning of the drive.  The rounds can be classified into two types – Technical and HR. HR round contains behavioural questions like “Why do you want to join this company”.  While the Technical round depends upon your branch subjects and computer science.  Some Important Facts about Placements -  Students not from CS should be well prepared. Students must study OS, CN, DBMS.  You should take up many Projects to talk about in the interview. You should be well acquainted with any one programming language. You should have the knowledge of the basics of CS programming using C, C++ or Java.  Students good at competitive coding, are able to grab higher packages as well. Companies like HighRadius, ZS Associates come for all branches. During Day 1 the placement exams are usually tougher to crack. The written test has a sectional cut-off as well as an overall cut-off. Once you get through the written test, the interview is not that difficult as it is mainly based on HR questions only. Other companies including Dell, Deloitte, Barclays, Microsoft, SAP, etc., visited KIIT. The highest package was offered by NowFloats – 25 LPA. For companies like these, you need to have good projects. The students should attend the pre-placement talk. It helps to grow a connection between the student and the company. You will get an idea about the job and also represent your University. The most important thing is your CV. You must be sure about the things you put in your CV. So, you could answer any type of questions regarding it, whether it is a project, achievement, or a technical subject. While preparing use websites like geeks for geeks, glassdoor, m4maths to see what type of questions are asked. Overall, the placements at KIIT surpass expectations.Read more

Ques. Is KIIT a better option than VIT, MANIPAL, SRM, or less renowned NITs like NIT Surat, Jaipur, Raipur, etc.?

● Top Answer By Aditi Arun on 02 Feb 21

Ans. Having friends in KIIT, NIT and Manipal, I have gathered some knowledge about these institutions and how they function. Let me share my views which might help you determine the better option. The table below shows a brief overview of college: Category VIT Ranking #15 by NIRF Total Fee Per Year 1,73,000 Companies Visited Deloitte, Qualcomm, Morgan Stanley, etc.  Highest Package 41.60 LPA Hostel fee 50,000 If you see, there are contradicting views about VIT. The college is appreciated by some while rejected by others. This rejection might be a cause of the donation policy at VIT. It is important to realise that a majority of students are extremely competitive Kota students, while very few avail the donation route.  A lot of students studying in VIT have had a decent ranking in AIEEE and IIT Advance which comes as a shock to many. A lot of these students are unable to get their suitable branch because of the reservation policy. Ranking and Research Opportunities For years, people have been claiming that the rankings by India Today are fake, and have accused VIT of bribing them.  VIT has been given a QS4 star rating by TheHindu. The second link is from the MHRD ranking, which ranks VIT at 13th position among Engineering Colleges all over India.  If researched thoroughly, you would find so many volumes of Research Publications from VIT. It might not be at par with the IITs but that does not debase the fact that the students get a massive opportunity for research here. VIT’s placements can be compared with NITs but not with that of IITs. VIT admits a lot of students every year which is why they have opened two more branches in Bhopal and Andhra Pradesh.Read more
