I took the JEE MAIN 2014 entrance examination i scored 211 in the examination and 99.65 (in 5 subjects of 6) the normalised score was around 240 i secured a rank of 3290 AIR and 501 AIR in OBC category rank i also secured 56 rank in KEAM(Category rank2), 26 in CUSAT (Category rank ) and in BITS i scored 285 marks i was qualified for JEE Advanced but didnt get good rank (it was 16000) i opted NIT Calicut because its a reputed college and it was close to my house. It had produced lot of great engineers.

I am presently doing my second year in the college the curriculum has been so far good in first year we had common courses for all branches this year we are having core courses on the stream the curriculum has been divided well in each semester balancing the load as well as the number of courses NITC follows the course credit system in which a student has to acquire minimum number of credit for passing the year as well as entire course.

Since I'm in Second year i haven't yet received an internship there is a Training and Placement center in the college that provides students to register for an internship that is available.

Last year there were many recruiters which include LnT, BAJAJ texas Instruments etc they were offering good packages but there wasn't enogh to make into headlines two years before there was a placement of 60 lakh by google.

Tathva is an annual techno management festival organized by the National Institute of Technology Calicut it was conducted on Oct29 Nov its one of South India's largest tecno management fest with over a footfall of 40k ragam is the annual inter college fest conducted by the National Institute of Technology calicut its one of Indias largest cultural festival proshows and competitions are a highlight of the fest last year Ankit Tiwari, Dieogo Miranda was there students from different places come and participate in various events.

The fee is fixed by the MHRD which has recently increased the fee from 40000 to 80000 per year this fee is expensive when compared to other colleges in the state, except IIT Palakkad the fee has been set by Govt so nothing can be done the hostel fee would roughly be 3000 per month.

There is no good scholarship or loan provided by college they annually provide scholarship of around 10000 as a part of alumni association but they periodically inform students the details about various scholarship they also have a SBI branch within the campus we can avail loan faster with the help of that bank i have taken loan from that branch i am also availing a scholarship.
