I actually was not famous in the college or didnt get along with other departments but after you passout you will remember how good IT department was. I still have contacts with my friends and faculties.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is good after 2year. Till then all the departments had nearly same set of subjects to study. Exam structure is two semesters in a year. Each semester consisted of two internals, practicals, assignments and main semester exam.
Placement Experience
No internship is provided by college. We had a good placement scenario for our batch and also the next batches were quite good but due to recession, the placement percentage has dropped a lot. But most of the students get a job anyhow before passing out. IT sector is the main placement sector for all the departments.
College Events
Majority of the festivals are celebrated. This college becomes like a family. We had three fests in a year. Sports, cultural and tech fests. Everyone gets a chance to prove their talents in this fest and also the entertainment dose is too high.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Feasible. With respect to other private colleges, this college fee structure is appreciated. Also the staffs are very polite. As it is a semi government college, it provided full or half freeship to economically weak students.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions
Scholarship is not offered. Loan facilities can be availed from any bank as it is a reputed college and few banks might be present at the day of admission to provide loans and help with the process of loan application.
Campus Life
At our time, we had every possible extra curricular activities. We had inter college competition for all types of sports. We had so many options for spending our times. If you get accustomed with all staffs and faculties, labs will be easily accessible for anytime use.
Alumni/Alumna
Yes they are. Alumnus provides proper guidance to the new comers. We love our college and cant see anyone in trouble in our beloved college. There are multiple social groups with lots of alumni, current students and new comers.
Admission
After WBJEE, we had three rounds of online counseling and i was alloted this college at the third and final round. After that we came and took admission directly from the college. Though online counseling has been stopped now.
Faculty
We had the best faculties. Cooperative. Helpful in all ways. Very friendly. I become the favourite student for most of the faculties. They will help you in all the possible ways. Respect your faculties and they will treat you good.

Placement Experience
When promoted to the 7th semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Many multi-national companies like TCS, Tech Mahindra, Accenture, BPO, etc. The average package is about 5-6 LPA and the highest package is about 20 LPA. About 40% of students get placed in reputed companies every year.

From the 3rd year, the students become eligible for campus placements, but I heard a lot that the 2nd also get placed sometimes. So you have to prepare for jobs from the first year. The companies like TCS, INFOSYS, WIPRO, AMAZON and many other companies visits our college to hire students. The highest salary package is 10LPA. 90% students get placements every year.

Mostly the 3rd and the 4th year students are eligible for campusing. Many companies come to our college like Wipro, infotech, Infosys, Tata, Samsung and many other companies. Most of the students i.e. 70% percent of the students get a job during campusing. And the average payment is 3.5-5lakh per anum and the highest is 14 lakh.
Placement Experience
Placement cell is good. Not 100% of students placed on college placement but almost 70-80% of students placed through placement. You can take an eye on the college main website for placement details of previous 3 or 5 years and also find those names who were placed through placement. TCS, Cognizant, are mass recruiters for Kolkata students.

Campus placements are offered here. But are very limited and only comes to sales jobs. Which is very disappointing for CSE students. Some of the companies visited here are byjus, Flipkart, Amazon, TCS, Wipro etc. The highest package offered was from byjus in sales of 9 LPA. 50% of the students get placed here. After getting the degree I will not take any sales job here. rather I will go off-campus or do gate preparation.
Remarks
Jadavpur university is the no.1 university in west bengal and also it's ranked among the top 10 unversities from all over india. The admission process is also very tough as they select the deserving students for different branches accoring to their wbjee and jee rank which varies every year.

Placement Experience
You can go for campusing just after you enter to 4th year. And Electronic and Communication, Computer Science braches have very good records of placements in West Bengal. Infosys. Wipro. Tech Mahindra. Byjus. Vedantu. Topcon and many new companies come to my college. Almost 80~90 percentage got placed. I am trying to enter in IITs or NITS for a higher degree or any PSUs

This college has good facility and faculty. Although It maybe give good placement in future. So for this hope I had chosen. The atmosphere is so good. Before entering college everyone was gave us a lot of support that they will help and other ex gave advices about this college.

Our college management is good they keep calling good companies for placement which I think is best for any student.
Remarks
College is overall good. But there is need of new infrastructure in college. since the college is currently in transition phase, so all the members have to work efficiently. Internal administration is not working properly. There is no central database for the students in college.
