Remarks

You will get many opportunities in Kalinga Institute of Industrial Education (KIIT). You just need to work hard in the correct direction to get that. There nothing negetive about the college according to me but every student has its own opinion.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Engineering course curriculum is widely known by everyone and you can get every detail online. Exam structure is nice. Mid and End Semester exams in every semester. Internal marking is alsi done according to assignment and many more criteria.

Placement Experience

4.5

Placement of KIIT is pretty good than other colleges. They give you many opportunities of internship and PPO in 3rd year and placement in 4th year. Many students get multiple placement offers from many company.

College Events

There are many events conducted in the college every now and then. There are many societies you can join according to your interest. Fest is conducted every year like other colleges and you can enjoy there.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure of KIIT is Expensive according to me. But many people think that its not. It totally depend on an individual that how he or she thinks. 1.5L per semester is my fees and hostel/mess fees depends on your choice.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarship is offered to people under rank 500. They are given some amount of money every semester. Semester toppers also get some scholarship but I don't know exactly how much. I have not availed loan from college so I can't tell anything about it.

Campus Life

4.5

Labs are here to provide practical knowledge to the students apart from theory. Labs are provided whichever subject needs that. Sports complex are almost everywhere. Students can join it in whatever sports they like.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Hostels in kiit are very nice as compared to hostels of other colleges. 24*7 water and electricity is there. Mess food is nice as compared to mess of other colleges and WiFi is very good in kiit hostels.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

Every senior here in KIIT are very helpful. Just meet them and ask anything about their experiences and they will always help you in whatever way they can. But always keep in mind you should pay respect to seniors.

Admission

Qualify in entrance exam (KIITEEE) and get selected for councelling. Select your stream according to your rank and wait for your turn to get than stream. If no seat available then go for your next preference stream.

Faculty

Faculty of the College are highly educated and nice. They teach you everything in detail according to the syllabus and you can clear your doubts by reaching them in their respective cabin or any other prefered way.

Decent faculty and top tier placements, just follow the rules

Likes

I like the vibe of the canteen and greenery around my college

Dislikes

I don't like 75% attendance and the strictness of the faculty members

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is now updated since it became a University, so its more relevant to industry now but still we have to do extra courses for coding. Exams happen every few months—2 internals and one end-sem. They are not very easy, you actually need to study to pass without backlogs

The infrastructure of each campus in the college is very pretty and it's a green campus
The classrooms are well equipped with WiFi, Smart-boards for digital education.
Also travelling from one campus to another has been made easier as buses and golf carts are provided to students

Dislikes

The crowd of students here is too much which feels too much chaotic and disturbing .
The hostel management here as they don't give importance to the major issues here.
The hostel mess food. The quality is degrading day by day

Placement Experience:

The placements of my college is good. This year 75% of the students are already placed with an average package of 8LPA . The highest package till now for this year is 22LPA. Many companies have visited for the placements and 100+ offers have been made. Companies like BNY, Infosys, Deloitte, Accenture, Capgemini, Cognizant, Bain& Company, High Radius, TCS, EY, PWC and many more of them have visited the campus.

Likes

The college campus greenery and campus cleaning management are doing really very well that is the only good part but that doesn't matter much for your career.
⭐⭐There is nothing good to mention about this college after going through all the procedures from taking admission to degree,I regret and many of my friends also regretting taking admission into this college.⭐⭐

Dislikes

They have a good well maintained cricket ground but students are never allowed there only for commercial purposes and to attract new joinee.
Staff and management are very helpful and polite only till admission done.🥲.
Hostel food quality is extremely unhigenic, no one takes responsibility after many complaints also.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum was very classical , too much theory oriented for placement point of view they will provide last 1 month or 2 months training for aptitude part rest for technical you have to study on your own.

REVIEW OF KIIT FROM A SECOND YEAR STUDENT

Apart from KIIT I also applied for PES university, VIT. I got confirmed admission in CSE branch of these colleges but these colleges are far away from my home. So distance is one of the main factors for not choosing other colleges instead of KIIT. For taking admission in KIIT one has to appear in the KIITEE examination which is conducted in CBT mode. After the exam result will be declared within a month. Then one has to sit for counselling for choosing the branch of their choice. The cutoff score is different for all the three phases. For example in 2023, a student securing 15 percentile in KIITEE got CSE core branch but in the second phase the cutoff for CSE core raised to 75 percentile....Read More
