Remarks

This college is good for good student and also good for bad student. They try to ensure everyone to have 75% attendance but even allow students with 20% attendance to give final exam on basis of warning/parent's complaint etc. The college is very strict on drug abuse and don't take it lightly.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course here provided is somehow kept similar to GATE syllabus so that only important things are to be taught. The scoring is quite easy for student who study effectively. But the syllabus is sometimes doesn't get covered, and they ensure that those chapters shouldn't come in exams. We have to give 2 exams in our each semester. One mid semester of 20 marks and one end semester of 50 marks. The passing marks in semester is 40.

Placement Experience

3.5

Placement and job opportunities were good when I joined college. In 2017 a large number of student from Mechanical were placed as compared to other branches. But now the scenario has changed, placing of Mechanical students is looking like luck by chance. Core companies come in few numbers and they hire student in too less. Mass recruiters also come here and they are only hope of non placed guys. Yes, many companies come at the end of 3rd year and they provide internships and pre placement offers. I am currently in 3rd year and by the end of 3rd year, I'm going to face the interview.

College Events

4

Various events are organised in my college. This includes DJ night, TEDx talk, and inviting guests from diverse fields of comedy, music etc. The KSAC is one of the part of our university which deals in all co - scholastic activities. There are events when lecturers from foreign college also visit us to talk on topics. NSS a government funded society also works in and around the university.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is feasible. The course fee is 1.5 lakhs for our year, while the food and hostel charge hardly reaches 50k. There is no other charges made by us to college. For a private college in our area, this fee structure is feasible. It also provides a better staying place, good food and good teaching environment.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarship are provided to year toppers of every branch. Banks provide loan but I haven't availed any loan facility. If student can get scholarship from their parent's occupational area, this may help.

Campus Life

4.5

Labs are having latest and old technologies at same place. While we are taught on old techniques, research works are done on new technologies. But if some students want to learn any instrument in lab, teachers may help.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Yes, hostel is good. We are charged for hostel at 21k per semester. Our room is 3 bed non AC. The room is quite big to accommodate 3 person. Almirah and box in bed are provided. There is a study table and chair for all three persons in room. The hostel warden are friendly. They help in medical emergency a lot. Cleaning of Room is done on daily basis.

Alumni/Alumna

KSAC is also responsible for this. They try to maintain an alumni network and help in organising events for some colleges in university. I have actually never seen any event with alumni, but heard a lot of this.

Admission

I filled in the exam regisisteration form of KIITEE in year 2017. There was no Registertion cost for the exam. I went for the exam and when results were declared I secured Rank of 6564. I wanted to choose Mechanical Engineering and I easily got my seat in this branch. Regarding the paper, the questions were easy and not that much hard as of IIT JEE level.

Faculty

4.5

Faculties of my college are the real gems. I have studied different subjects by almost all teachers of our college. Even other faculties are available for our doubt clearing. Most of the faculties here have done PhD from IITs and NITs. Some are pusring their PhD in our college.

The curriculum is now updated since it became a University, so its more relevant to industry now but still we have to do extra courses for coding. Exams happen every few months—2 internals and one end-sem. They are not very easy, you actually need to study to pass without backlogs
