The Course Curriculum is very Poor and outdated. It has not been revised for decades .Not much knowledge is imparted. The teaching faculty is very poor. They don't have much knowledge. They have been appointed by Jugaad .

The College internship experience is poor .There is no support for internship .The knowledge gained by the students in 5 years is poor .So it is difficult for internship .

There is no college placement .The students search on their own . There is no support for training . The knowledge gained by the students in 5 years is poor . So it is difficult for internship and getting training and job .

The college does not hold any technical or cultural fest . It is not a regular event every year . It may happen once or twice in every five .

Fee structure is satisfactory .The fee of the course is not much . The fee is Feasible and less expensive . The dining fees is also less as compared to other colleges . There are also no other hidden fees and charges.

There are very few scholarship available . I haven't availed any scholarship till yet . There is one scholarship meant for minority students .

The campus life is satisfactory .There are many events, extracurricular, cultural, debates and sports activity happen in the AMU campus . It is mostly a co-educational campus .

The hostel are not very good .The infrastructure and building of the college and hostel is not good . The rooms are in sharing 3-4 students share a room .

Alumni/Alumna

I do not had much experience with the college seniors or alumni network or with senior students .There is hardly any alumni network .

Exam Structure

Exam structure is satisfactory. There is lot of emphasis on examination but not on teaching .The course has Two End semester examinations and also two mid semester examination every year.

My experience at faculty of architecture are planning, AKTU

Likes

The campus Is not so large, but still well equipped with all that you need for Studios Library lecture halls
They also have an activity centre, badminton court, table, tennis tables, and a small ground which we play volleyball, Cric
The faculty 2 student ratio is very good of the college

Dislikes

The campus is very And sometimes feels it is too small
The workload, you have to do a lot of work in architecture
75% attendance rule Strict attendance rule

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum mainly focuses on the architectural aspects. They organised yearly trip for bates to visit and see some architecture sites by their self and also the faculty asked students to visit some local sites.

Placement Experience:

In Architecture no placement because in Architecture you made your portfolio and via portfolio, your placement will depend. Yes, even my chairman Sir takes always encouraging their students to regard entrepreneurship and startup. Yes, many seniors support their junior for getting placed in reputed firm.

It is a great experience

Remarks:

Canteen should be improved and facility for the hostelers also. Infrastructure also need to improve.Architecture, imagination,new ideas, having fun with friends, taking on events, sports etc. Over all unforgettable time.

Remarks:

Beginning was good faculty was amazing in the recent years but the present scenario is horrible please do not send your ward to this college or any college associated with U.P.T.U, and the director is new jailer these days, seems as it is a college rather than an architecture college.

A Glimpse of Life in Aligarh Muslim University

I chose this college mainly because of the less fees structure and the greenary campus , a good place to study.Moreover, I'm preparing for govt exams also, so the time needed during M.tech. is enough to focus on exams too. Also, I don't want any gap between the study and job as we have to justify later during interview (the year gaps , if any). I applied for this college only. Highly affordable fee of course and hostel fee. Hostel provides us so many facilities in a very basic pay of 1500 per month including mess and other things. For m.ed we have to prepare for an entrance test. Forms of amu m.ed are generally out during january- march period. The paper is of 100 marks, only mcq, based on core papers of b.ed. the cutoff is around 55+ for general+external candidate and 40+ for internal. The admission process is smooth and easy.
