Remarks

There are lots of positive and negative remarks about our college. The college campus is very large with 2 ground. One small ground and a big ground where sports are being played. We have 2 college campus a old campus where canteen, seminar hall etc are available and a new campus.

Course Curriculum Overview

I am pursuing B.tech in Electrical Engineering Stream. In this college there are other branches under B.tech. Those are Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication, Computer Science Engineering, Information Technology, Applied Electronics Engineering.

Placement Experience

In the year 2019 the placement record is good.Lots of company come to college for placement. They are TCS(pool campusing),wipro(pool campusing),cognizant(pool campusing),Rakuten(pool campusing) and other lots of IT company come to this college.

College Events

4.5

The biggest celebration in our college is "college fest" it is a event of 3 to 4 days where Dance performance, singing, Musical band, stand up comedy performance occurs. The other events are Independent celebration, Tech Fest, Sports event (Krirathaan) etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees per semester is 46000 to 47000. If you compair to other colleges in Kolkata the fees of RCC college is low. The semester fees is including all the other things like exam fees, library fees tuition fees etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is a scholarship in our college that is "freeship" anyone can apply for this scholarship. To get this scholarship you have to get more than 80% in the first semester. According to your marks you will get the scholarship.

Campus Life

Every year our college arrange Tech fest, sports event, College fest. The biggest celebration in our college is "college fest" it is a event of 3 to 4 days where Dance performance, singing, Musical band, stand up comedy performance occurs. The other events are Independent celebration, Tech Fest, Sports event (Krirathaan) etc.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are very helpful. Our college didn't entertain ragging on students. The relation between seniors and juniors are like brother. Alumni are always are in touch. Every year alumni are invited by college to for college fest.

Admission

After the result of JEE MAINS anyone can apply for this college. If the rank within 1lack then the chances of getting admission in this college is high. After the result of first counseling the result have to be looked by the candidate and visit this college with the original document, photo copy of document as well as the admission fees. Cash is taken in the admission counter.

Faculty

Faculties are experienced. All the department have own faculties. Some faculties are alumni from Jadavpur University. They are very helpful and understanding. Their guidance help the student to clear the exam.

Likes

Supportive Faculty - The professors are highly qualified, approachable and always willing to help students
Free wifi support - There are free wifi support for both student and faculty
Fee Structure - It is very affordable and low compared to other colleges in the region

Dislikes

Placement support is below average, and most studnets have to apply for off campus jobs independently, which is really pathetic in the era of ai where getting a job as a fresher is so difficult
There is no dedicated support or placment cell initiative to help studnets land meaningful summer internships or any kind of internships

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements starting from the 7th semester. For placement drives, we have to visit the main campus, Techno Main Salt Lake (TMSL). Since students from other Techno India campuses and branches also participate, the competition is extremely high. In the 2025–2026 academic year, fewer companies visited. Only two companies, Dronahost and WishCare, visited our specific campus directly. The remaining drives—mostly service-based companies like TCS and EY, along with a few startups—were conducted at the main campus. The remaining drives mostly service based companies like TCS, EY etc and quite a few startups has visited to main campus. The package they offered mostly in between 3.5lpa - 6 lpa. Furthermore the selection process of those startups is quite rigorous often consisting of upto 5 rounds of interview, two technical rounds with two technical interviews, and HR round My plans after getting the degree is either pursue an MBA or preparing for govt jobs

Campus life: Hype vs Truth

Likes

The discipline is followed very strictly. Also you have access to library which is good, teachers are helpful and no ragging policy which is strictly followed and has a decent environment.
Thery conduct seminars which encourages students. Many faculty members are knowledgeable experienced in their respective subjects and helpful willing to solve doubts beyond the classroom also.
The college has decent infrastucture including classrooms, labs and library .

Dislikes

While the curriculum is decent ,it lacks sufficeint practical implementation.More hands on projects, real world application and industry exposure would improve learning significantly.
Campus life can sometimes fell limited in terms of active student interaction.Opportunites for clubs, networking and collaborative activities could be improved.
The college comes under St tHomas School so the campus is not great it is compact and has a canteen.

Placement Experience:

I heard it from seniors that before lockdown it was pretty decent but after lockdown the company visits are not that much comapred to before lockdown.Cognizent, Accenture, Mindtree, PQ360 which is a startup company of our senior alumni etc. visits.

Techno provides decent campus placements according to your marks. Good marks also with skills get you better salary. Minimum 7.5 cgpa is mandatory to have you sit for campus placements. The lowest package is 3.4 LPA and highest vary but students also get 14LPA easily. Wipro, tcs ,cap ,gemini, amazon , ibm etc.

I choosed this college because it is autonomous and government run by the State of West Bengal and is affordable and also has good accessability with satisfactory placement report . Yes i got rejection from some other colleges ,i didnt make it due to my WBJEE rank being not any good .My score was below their cutoff You can join RCCIIT by WBJEE counselling through your JEE or WBJEE scores .Almost 80% students are inducted through WBJEE and 20% is left for JEE students .College has no management quota .The cutoff for WBJEE for RCCIIT starts from 10,000 for CSE and runs upto 90,000 for Electrical Engineering...Read More
